That's what I thought too. Makes it seem suspicious. I was wondering if it's from a foreign country. I let all calls go to the answering machine these days, unless I know who it is, because we were getting too many scam calls.

Looking at all these messages about caller 0496325123647 I was starting to feel I must be the only person these scammers haven't yet called. Then 3pm rolled around and my number came up...

Female by the name of Gabby has been ringing us now for over two months.
trying to sell me my own website!
Have stated very clearly bugger off and her response "so I will ring you".
Why would anyone want to buy their existing website?
A very fast talking scammer...

Obviously a spoofed number, too many digits for Oz. Indian scam callers, we automatically divert them to our unwanted caller answering machine. They must enjoy the chat with our answering machine "Lenny" because they keep calling despite being blocked. Scam the scammer!

This guy named Jack Morrise (complete fake accent) called and claimed himself to be from Telstra. Told my IP is compromised. And router need to be changed. I told him to drop an email. No response.

Caller: An Indian girl pretending to be from Telstra

She told me that she is from Telstra and that the line has been hacked and I asked her to give me her number she said it is technical and urgent. As I am NOT with Telstra at all played tough guy and talked authority ordering her again to give me her number and I will call her back and she hung up.

This scammer was adamant that they were not trying to scam me, and insisted that I have a virus on my "Microsoft". they're getting really bad/desperate these days if they are referring to it as a Microsoft rather than a PC! I strung her along for a bit, until I got bored, she then screeched something at me before I hung up!

Scam caller, way too many (13) digits in the telephone number. Genuine Australian numbers have 10 digits. Diverted to scammer answering machine.

Asked for Mr or Mrs, said they were deceased, then I was accused me of stealing my parents property. When I hung up on them, they rang back

Far too many numbers to be legit, I let it go to the answering machine, wish I could block but my handset has 20 maximum. I get so many even though I am on the do not call register. Telstra should block them. grrr

Said pension had been increased etc. Had the same call in the past (can't remember the number it came from previously) so knew it was a scam. Listened then hung up.

Obvious Telstra phone scam, block if you get a call from this number.

Caller: Seems to be scam

They just hang up without saying anything. Usually a sign of a computerised call, and someone else answered earlier, so they abandon this call.
