Caller: computerised voice claim to be my internet provider and that my IP address is compromised and press 1 to speak to a technician. This is highly suspicious as my details have just been sent to NBN for changeover from ADSL.I suspect someone in the system is forwarding personal information to these scammers.

Caller: Scammers Same as others have had. A computerised voice saying my ISP has been compromised in several countries and now the NBN is available in my area (which it isn't!) they will switch off my internet in 24 hours if I don't press 1 to speak to a technician.

Same message as others getting about my IP address has been compromised. So sick of these calls. Averaging 3 calls a day at the moment from someone trying to scam something or other. Mostly internet problems. The callers must be getting pressure from their bosses to get more people caught in these scams because their KPI's are down!!

Well, you could always get a Call Guardian (Telstra will REALLY have to start paying me commission 😄) This number just rang me, but I didn't have to deal with them, or ignore them - the call never even gets put through (the caller is asked to say who they are, before the call gets put through and scammers never do - they just hang up) The only reason I even know about the attempt is because my VoIP phone rings once.

Computerised voice from my “service provider” saying IP address had been compromised so they are switching off internet within 24 hrs. They should tell me which service provider they were calling from if they expect me to think it’s legit.
