7/3/2018-Received another call from this number-this time I answered and went along with there spiell-yes I am with telstra-yes I have an internet service with them ( I don't) I have a virus you say, I should go to this web sight you say, all will be fixed you say-then I say:look cooky boy, I just ran a program to get the absolute URL of this site and now I am running a program (Thunderflood from my old XP program) which will send packets 24/7 to every open port and ping you mothers off the internet-with that he hung up-Oh I feel good

They have called a number of times some times there is no one there, must be an auto dial of some kind, We have our number on the do not call registrar so they have to be scam as no legit company would call

What sort of a bogus looking number is that anyway . Has scammer written all over it !

My internet is infected with hackers they said. In the process of pretending to let them connect to my system via TeamViewer I told them I think it is infected because my PC literally just burst into flames (it didn't) to see how they would react. They didn't seem to care less and just wanted me to open TeamViewer. Was hoping for a more funny outcome. Oh well. There is always next time.

I told them to ring back later as my computer was at work. Called to check if this was right that my IP was affected, report them to Telstra. Scammers

Claims to be from Telstra but knows nothing about account details. Phone number is obviously fake. Telstra has caused all sorts of problems by outsourcing it's call centres overseas. The same people making the genuine calls moonlight making scam calls. I've already abused one Indian caller as a scammer only to subsequently find out that he did actually work for Telstra.

They're at it again. Didn't take the call, it went to voicemail. Voicemail seemed to trick them into thinking that the phone was answered. Music played for a while, then a Filipina asked "Can I talk to [name]?" a couple of times, then hung up. Seemed to know my name, which is odd because the number they called is a VOIP number registered to a business... Background noise indicated a busy call centre. Any time you see a malformed number, don't answer it - it's just some trickster who has overstamped the number on their outbound VOIP server, a very easy trick.

I do have Telstra internet but told her that I was with someone else to which she replied that Telstra looked after all internet connections. I then asked her for my IP address and she proceeded to tell me my street address. Straight out of a phone list I would imagine. When I insisted that she give me my IP address she hung up.

These people have rung at least three times a day for the past few days. We don't answer the phone anymore. Let it go to the answering machine, they never leave a message. All scammers.

I did not answer the call from this number but it has to be a scam - who has number like that. So over these calls I rarely answer my land line anymore.

Just had this one call, didn't answer. I think it's the same one the wife answered the other day claiming to be from Telstra saying we're getting hacked when on the internet. Funny, we're not even with them.

Have recieved several calls, generally just hang up when answered. One was answered and the usual spiel about Telstra virius etc. I am not with Telstra. I told him about his parents who he never knew. False number anyhow as mobiles don't have that many digits

I didn't answer but recognised their number as a nuisance.
