I had seen this and another similar number come up on my landline handset. I ignored it for a few days then decided to answer. I couldn't hear anything until I had said 'hello' a couple of times. Then the fun began! I heard the fake sound of a busy call centre in the background. The caller, male and sounded from the sub continent, said he was from the DNC registry and calling from Perth WA. I asked him if he knew who I was? He asked, " Are you Mr Graham", so I thought I'd go along with that and said yes. He then went on about how there needed to be some work done on my phone because of nuisance calls I had been getting. I asked did he mean calls like his i.e. ringing everyday at around 4.00pm. I also asked why had he told me he was calling from WA when the area code was NSW??? He hung up........ And a heads up on this and another scam that is coming through as caller ID 'overseas'. Don't press redial on these!!!!! You may very well end up paying ridiculous reverse charge calls.

Rang four times last hour. When I tried to ring the number, the message said 'call can not be connected'. Interesting since obviously someone is calling from this number.

6 calls in less than 1 hour. Claimed to be from "Do Not Call" checking if my number should be on the list.

IT is interesting that the number has 9 digits after the area code.. Is that what is happening in NSW now. "David" called me twice in 3 minutes.... He asked was I receiving phone calls and I said "of course, it was my phone after all" He hung on me then... just when I starting to warm up LOL :)

Scammer pretending to be from Telstra. Call received after lodging complaint to DNC Register. They said they were from Telstra and they had checked our number and advised that it wasnt on the register. Said we would not receive any further calls as they were going to register our number then wanted to verify our address. Told them it was a scam and hung up on them. They said they were calling from Melbourne but caller id was 02 Sydney... what an idiot!

Caller rang 11 times in one day between 3:30 - 6:40pm. I did not answer so have no details. Suspect it was a scammer calling. Now barred.
