Having just received my Telstra bill to find an extra $86.00 added to my account, I called Telstra to find out about these charges. The person said it was because of this number, when I said I didn't know this number she told me to ring 19022287173 and unsubscribe. which was no help about extra charges. NO HELP AT ALL USELESS.

These people should be stopped from wreaking havoc onto the lives of others. My bill went from $159.00 to $294.21 due to these people sending a notification to me. BLOCK THIS NUMBER!

I was on a woolworths site and it had a competition to enter. You use your mobile and the internet it asks you random questions and in the mean time your phone is clicking over. Seemed to go on for ever finally I hung up and next day got a call from my mobile provider say I have x amount charged to my phone. obviously it wasn't an actual woolies site. All I can say is be careful out there.

i also got a bill of an EXTRA $45 which I found out when I was checking my Optus mobile account. I contacted optus and they were great. They could see i had never made a call like this before and they deducted the amount straight away. I have no idea what this number is but googling it i found this forum so its obviously some scam! Beware everyone and I hope people get there issues resolved quickly!

After being given the run around from vodaphone and Telstra I realise that this number if from an online competition that keeps you playing as the answers are easy. I did not realise I was even on the phone as the game was on my iPad and you click for the answers.
This number has been directed to my vodaphone bill to the tune of $118 dollars when I was told I had free international calls.

email message taht I had won a car - all I had to is ring 1902 228 173 and they would send a code. Range - Gabbling female - but did hear Phone call $99. Immediately put down phone - though she must have said 99c a call. Stupidly rang again - same gabble - heard $99 a call. Rang Telstra reported and they said nothing had come through yet but would keep an eye open and to send a message "STOP' to this number. Tried to do this three times - but got message 'FAILED'. Immediately put this number onto 'Reject'. Yet to see what or if I am charged. Will NOT do this kind of thing again!

I was scammed out of $346.00 through vodafone----- I cant understand how Vodafone benefits from this and yet I was contacted by Woolies and asked some questions as a valued loyal customer. I am currently not working but studying for anew career.
Can anyone enlighten me why this is my fault??? And why I should be stung with all this?
I have been with Vodafone for over 15 years and paid thousand of dollars to them.
How can it be that they do not take responsibility for the people who are using them to scam me- and they get paid for it?????
Please explain someone.

When is Optus and Telstra going to own up about this scam. $97 latter and Optus virtually says bad luck. Spoke to the guy at my local store and he said go to the ombudsman, which I will do when they open early January.

I was billed $51.73 by Optus for a call to the same number supposedly from my mobile . A call I did not make . I believe it was connected to Bunnings Competition email scam . After several calls to Optus and reference to this website and threatening to complain to Telecommunications Ombudsman they agreed to waive charge and block future calls from this number .
