Scam!! They said they were from American Express and asked for personal details but would not provide details about what they were calling about or which department they were from. I offered to call back on the official AMEX number and they said no, use this one. I called AMEX and they said they would never quote a phone number different to the one on the back of your AMEX card.

Received a call from a person who had been on the receiving end of a phone call from this 1800 #. I am with a debt collection company and the person making the call said they were from AMEX and using iCollect. iCollect is a software programme owned by us but AMEX do NOT use this programme. Please do not give out infomation.

This number is still active - called my landline several times whis week but every time i answer it just goes dead.
This number calls almost every day this week and when answered there is nobody on the line. Perhaps they are testing the number for a later scam call or marketing call. Perhaps they are trying to tempt me to call back but DON'T ever call back a missed unknown call because you may be connecting to a scam or a hijacked phone connection and end up with a huge bill.

I keep getting calls from this number on a sim card that I use for data on a tablet, this number has NEVER made a call, that alone tells me this is a scam number

Had call from this phone number and they said they were from AMEX I for my personal details but I then asked them what about but they just said they had the wrong person and hung up

Not American Express! I believe the post saying this is Amex is a fraudulent post about a fraudulent number. I received s scam letter with this number. The return address on the letter : PO Box 161 Erskinvilke NSW, also comes up online as the address for a business that will check your credit history for you if you give them all your details. All seems suspicious to me

Recieved call from thuis number quite some times ... first i tried to block it but then recieved their call ... it was amex ! and they advised me of a card which i used long time ago! thank you amex for helping me resolve this debt!
