Caller: Unknown Popped up as an 'apple support' number to call when a virus stopped safari from working. Seem's suspicious as when googled no apple support webpage came up. Afraid it is a scam and posting to warn anyone else from calling this number in a similar circumstance. Just go to your local apple store.

Caller: It's a pop-up "Warning MAC OS is infected with viruses. Call 1800 531 580" It's bullsh*t of course. Just turn your mac off at the power. These arseholes don't have the talent to hack your OS. They are only underbelly scumbags that have managed to run a script in your browser. There's no virus. The worst that will happen is that when you turn your pc back on a couple of pages of crap will have been sent to your printer. In my case it was a 'Pirate Bay' proxy that ran the script. Wont be going there again. Don't worry about your MAC. It's bulletproof from these degenerates.

Caller: Claiming to be a technician for Apple A pop up came across my screen alerting me to call the number on the screen as my computer had been infected by a virus and so I called and he was going to charge me $200 to have someone fix it on the spot... Ummmm NO thank you! He got quite aggressive when I said I would take to my own computer guru. Scared now that they have been able to retrieve personal info from my computer..
