Caller: Lady that claimed being from Centrelink - Private number Seems to be a scam... Lady who called identified herself as being from Centrelink and the call was to provide me with some help (I did have some issues with the Centrelink site on Friday so at some point I thought the call was authentic). Became suspicious once I was asked to provide personal details over the phone but when I rejected to do so, I was given this 1800 086 400 number. Didn't call back this number of course but instead called a well known Centrelink number. Person from Centrelink confirmed they don't do this type of calls.

Caller: Private number Asked to ring 1800 086 400 to confirm identity as I was uncomfortable giving my details. However this number is NOT Centrelink as I was told it was. Confirmed with Centrelink that my records had not been accessed and therefore IT IS A SCAM

Seems to be a scam...
Lady who called identified herself as being from Centrelink and the call was to provide me with some help (I did have some issues with the Centrelink site on Friday so at some point I thought the call was authentic).
