I have had contact from these scammers as well.. PATRICK JOSEPH O'KEEFFE.. the guy that called was Brian Evans.. he called me a couple of years ago and gave me an absolute mouthful.. this year I was smarter.. when he said "would you like to re-run your advertisement from last year", I said, email it through so I can check.. he did, and it's images put together from our website.. he's due to call back tomorrow..

How do these guys just keep getting away with this type of activity. im lucky enough to know when something looks sus.. I run a small business and get scam emails all the time. this joker rings up saying he is advertising in a policing in your community magazine for service personnel.. Queensland what a joke.. if you want to run a scam move to Queensland.. must ave some of the laxest laws in our country..

Again these scammers keep calling me either saying that they represent Aust Fire Fighters or Australian Volunteer's Association. neither are on the net when I look up if ever you going to subscribe make sure that they send you a pledge via email that way it is legite these scammers don't do that , they just say that the magazine is ready and require payment.

Seems they're still running this scam. Just had a call from "Mitch Lane" claiming to be from the institute of police, asking me to support the boys in blue in "my local area" by paying $295 for advertising space in a publication called VPOL. Of course I can't find any such publication, nor could "Mitch" provide any website information or send me details via email for me to review prior to signing up. What I did find was this forum thread, and also this one http://www.eques.com.au/EQforum/showthread.php?t=5998

He supposed to be calling me back tomorrow. I'm looking forward to it.... ;0)

Thank you to all that has posted on here about Dante Publishing I have been dealing with them about supporting the local Police as I support APOL. Luckily I haven't paid any money yet as I thought that I better just check them out on the web and came across this site. So I gather from this forum they are scamming QLD well now they are trying the Central Coast on NSW.

They got me once for angels goal and then must have tried to skim my credit card again howver its been renewed. I started getting suspicious and checked their website. That is completely suspect. Then typed into Google , is Dante Publishing a con? and hit this link.. What a low life crim.

I too have been scammed by these con artists. I also receive calls on nearly a daily basis. I was generous enough to support a legitimate advertiser, but they then came out of the wood work. The latest one is Peter Ross from Dante Publishing for the 'Wallies' - QLD Police Rugby League. I have had Emergency Services Report call at least once a week giving me a courtesy call to let me know the report is due to be published & asking if I would like to pay be credit card despite me never agreeing to advertise with them. The Accident Emergency Services was another one along with Health & Safety in the Workplace. There has been a couple more & I lost around $2000 last year to these scams including unauthorised credit card payments. I have now stopped all Sponsorship's & advertising except to local charities & places like the local branch of the RSPCA - who I see in person.

Please take notice of all of these comments on this site & protect yourself against these con artists.

He got me under Australian Fire Magazine late last year. Luckily I did direct deposit. He also claims to be from Policing and Community News - The Independent. He also said that Dante Publishing is a government printing house. He is still at it - rang me again the other day claiming to be from from Police something or other and that the mag was about to go to print. He has a new number 0498 322 356. You can tell it is him - voice like gravel.

They all have alias false names. Full name of this joker who runs the scam show is PATRICK JOSEPH O'KEEFFE, formerly of 10 DANTE CRT, ARUNDEL, but had house repossessed. Yes he is the same guy who "was" till sacked, the well renowned sports coach on the Gold Coast.
