HI these people phoned me and told me I was dead so If i paid them I would not be dead so I paid them and found out I was never in fact dead. (it was a scam). yay

You should report scams like this to ACORN -- http://www.acorn.gov.au/ the Australian Government Cybercrime reporting network.

I just received the same message and number but saying it was a NAB transfer - definate scam

I received a email today stating I 'made a Funds Transfer to a payee with account ending 0371 for the first time". Ther are hyperlink to click on and signed off by Westpac support team.

I went to one of the bank branch, I was assured the 1300 666 656 number is not Westpac contact number, and they never send email with hyperlinks.

A spam email for sure.

I received an email from no-reply @ westpac-wbc.com stating that I "recently made a Funds Transfer to a payee with account ending 0371 for the first time.

I don't believe this is a legitimate email or telephone number. The only thing I get when I type in this # is comments such as the ones on this page.

Same as all you people. Email scam with this number apparently from Westpac. I am getting at last 3 emails from "westpac" a day about my account..

Shame I don't even have a Westpac account .

I received an email purporting to be from a bank, should I mention it's name? that indicated there is an amount of money waiting to be deposited into my bank account; it looked very real - great graphics etc, even indicated I should not reply to this email, like legitimate emails do, but call this 1300 666 656 , and a link to my transaction history, though the bank is one I have no accounts with - never have. Lord knows where the link would take me. I would love there to be a police site or similar where I could forward these emails, though generally I just want to delete the thing ASAP.

I received an email similar to Anna's claiming I had made a funds transfer to a payee for the first time and providing two links to click and this contact number. It was signed "BOQ support team"
