Been getting calls from this number for a while. They say that they're from Telstra and I have problems with my computer. I complained that every time I answer they would hang up. He then said if we fix the problem I would stop getting the calls.
I said "I bought a gun the other day, thought I would go out and hunt some Indians".
He then said he would put in a complaint about what I said. I said "Good! I'll give you the number to complain to and then you can confess you are a scammer. He then called me a "Aussie Mother F***er B****d". I laughed and said "sticks and stones" then he hung up.
Three things I learnt.
1 They are Indian
2 They are scammers
3 And I don't think they like me

SCAM
Said he was from Telstra and my computer had a problem. I asked for his Telstra ID number and it was provided.
We are having problems with NBN but he hung up when I said I didn't believe he was from Telstra. Now receiving frequent calls from the number.

I have a really simply solution. My game plan is now, if I don't know the number I don't waste my time and answer it. If they have something to say they'll leave a message and the return number will be left. If not, they won't leave any message! Problem solved! Those numbers go on my blocked listed.

I have received 6 calls from this number today answering it once. I new straight away it was a scam call via auto-dial. In the first instance, I do not usually answer unknown incoming number due to the large amount of scammers out there, but after 6 calls I had to check it out.
It annoys the hell out of me that these f*ing telco's with all their technology don't put a stop to them once known, I mean 85 complaints just on this site alone. Give me a break. Thankfully they don't ring mobile numbers at random.

No good using a whistle because they use noise cancelling headsets & a whistle doesn't do squat.

Got a call from this number, silence at their end, and then a female voice said, "Goodbye." Call over.

Indian woman said she was from Telstra about my phone & internet connection & that I wouldn't have it for the next 14 days. I said "ok" because I've heard similar scams from people pretending to be from Telstra. She said "I don't think you understand me". I said "yes, I do & this is bullsh*t" & hung up. Oh & she called me a few minutes after 8 pm Thursday evening before Good Friday which is surely against the law?!!

She told me she was from Telstra technical dpt. I know all about these calls so I told her where to go and hung up. She then called my number 10 times but I hung up on her each time. Getting sick of these low lives. Why can't Telstra do something about it?

Had the same problem tonight. The delay from picking the phone receiver up to the start of the conversation "saying i had an internet problem" and not even knowing my name, i knew it was a scam straight away. The sc*m bag INDIAN said one sentence and started to reply before the line went dead. I wasn't quick enough to grab my old trustee whistle which is usually good for a laugh with these people. Oh well better luck next time

Six calls in one afternoon - very annoying! Telling them we're not with Telstra doesn't make any difference. We're on "Do not Call List" - how is it that they can get around this? Background noise sounds like an o/s call centre but the number appears to be local.

Said they were from Telstra. Have so far had 5 calls this afternoon. I ask them that if they were really from Telstra they would know the answer to one of my secret questions that Telstra would ask me if I rang them... Then I tell them that I am not that stupid that I would give them remote access to my computer so they can steal any information that I may have on it. They hang up on me.
