Scammers about car accidents AGAIN. They must be getting money from someone or they would not continue - feel desperately sorry for the elderly, non-English-speaking and mentally challenged that may well be scared out of their wits and give personal details. Someone, somewhere must know how to stop this illegal scamming...

Had the same call today. When I answered as our business they hung up straight away and then I couldn't call back. Thank goodness for sites like this to give answers we need!

This number calls and says I have an accident. I have never had an accident except picking up the phone when these bad people called.

Same scam 2nd time today first time was from phone number (08) 6245 0412 then (08) 9467 4216 same thing nobody at my house drives except for me they said a male member of the house had the accident.Couldn't tell me when or where.

Same here from this number. Again said there was a car accident from this home number. Got really abusive on the phone. Nasty piece of work.

Same lady with an indian accent, asking about someone who has had an accident.Cut her short as my wife has been receiving these calls at her work and therefore already knew it was a scam.

I just had them on the phone for 15 minutes. I told them i had an accident in my BMW and was hurt. They told me I could have $5000. Asked for my details, so I gave them Michael Mouse, Dinsleyland, America.

The guy then had the cheek to complain that I wasted his time!!

Just had a call from this number - same strong Indian accent reported above - claimed to be from an accident lawyer. I just put the phone down on the desk and let her talk to waste her time with occasional affirmative "ums" and "aas" from me. Such fun wasting her time! Amazes me that these firms choose callers with such lousy English accents to call Australians who are not the greatest linguists!

they are still trying. it is good that sites like this can let people know what is going on. they must con some people, otherwise they would come up with some other scam.

Had 2 phone calls from these wanks today. I couldn't help myself made him repeat himself several times and then let him have it with both barrels. Lying pieces of Indian poo. He said he was from john McKay Sydney claim lawyers. BEWARE SCAM SCAM SCAM.

Second call in two days, same drill, car accident. So annoying,

I have had a phone call too from this number to, and he ended up hanging up on me, we have a pivate number too.,then when I called back it rung out. I also had a call from a sydney number asking the same question, then he asked if I would be his prostitute. I rung this morning and screamed down the phone at him. what low lives they are.

Just received a call from this number. They said: "you had a car accident last year, right?" I said: "No." Then they hung up.

I live in south east qld and received a call from (08) 9467 4216 from a male with an indian accent. Wanted to know if any of my family or friends been involved in a car accident in the last 2 years. They hung up quick when I mentioned my insurance company being involved in any claim against me. I also have a silent number.

Very similar - Asian accent called himself Paul - claiming about a car accident - when I asked for more information he hung up
