Regular calls from this number, always early evening. Don't be fooled and don't answer!
The line will be silent if you are foolish enough to answer. Despite what others have posted, it is NOT the WAPCYC. It's a scam call made by people without honest intent.

This is a registered charity to provide youngsters with activities and keep them off the streets. Affiliated with the WA police they ring to sell raffle tickets.......we did it once and are now on their radar so get lots of calls periodically each time a fundraiser is launched.

They called a business asking for a "unclear speech of first name" bucket. i said who. they repeated it unclear again i said sorry no one here by that name. he said he was from the wa pcyc and selling raffle tickets and maybe i was interested. i said that i am sorry i cant afford to atm. his response was "what a load of sh*te bye" and hung up on me.

After a few annoying calls daily from this number I got cross as there was no one there when I picked up - immediately thought - ah SCAM! Today I checked this number out. In the end I called WA PCYC (I rang the number on their web site) and yes indeed this call is from them. If you do ring (08) 9388 8463 a message says to call 1300 265 162. They have outsourced to a company to ring for donations. I have had my name removed from their data base. They were very apologetic and did tell me I was not the only complaint they have received so far today. Obviously the company they outsourced to needs a giant kick up the proverbial! It will be interesting to see if these calls stop!!!!!

Calls and nobody speaks. calling a few times a day

Have called me several evenings at around 5.30 - 6.30pm. The call never lasts long enough to answer lately and if I'm silly enough to call back, it is silent.

I get the calls I paid of years ago and the keep ring me I told I wasnt interested but they Twice the week and quite few other time so I know i just dont answer

called our home phone line this evening. don't appreciate being called while cleaning my toddler's backside.

"Hi, this is Manus from WA police PCYC".....then it just went blank.

I think this is a scam but even if it is really the WAPCYC they should pull their head in and stop ringing people at all times of the day. I have requested my number taken off their list as some people have suggested. It doesn't work! They still ring. I suggest to people keep a list of these numbers and buy a whistle to blow when they ring.

I have received at least half a dozen calls a week for over a year now and I won't answer.
