The caller asked whether I was Mrs XXXX (my partner's surname). I said no but when she heard I'm the home owner, she started pitching a dubious "great offer for home owners". The caller had an Indian accent and background noise suggested a big call-centre-like surrounding.

Caller: Indian voice.

I asked immediately who she was calling for and she said I am calling about sola rebate. I hung up.

A guy with Indian accent called me to offer a "free" tax deduction advice for a home owner with a full time job.
Very rude and aggressive. Block this number when you see it. Wasted 2 mins of my life for nothing.

I answered. No one spoke. Then they hung up.

Same person showed up as 01597645678 immediately after I hung upon first number listed (08) 9297 1813).
Again for solar panels, had mine for 10 years now.
Is there any Australian regulator who can take action about these calls, or are our politicians so concerned about muck slinging they run out of zest when it comes to real life?

A woman asked if i was the owner of the house, i asked what it was in regards to, she said she needed to speak to the owner of the house and asked if that was me. i said this was a business number that she called, she asked if i was the business owner. I said no and she ended the call.

Keep getting calls from this number which I don't answer. Have put on nuisance call registry and blacklisted but doesn't seem to stop them. Wish the telephone companies would put automatic blocks on these blacklisted numbers.

Indian accent calling about solar rebate. I said no and hung up. He immediately called back on a different local number saying he was doing a government survey re solar rebates. I am sick of these call centres. How do they manage to use a local number?

Claim to be from 'Wealth Finders' based in Melbourne. Offering a 'consultation' with a financial advisor.

They keep calling and when they get the answering machine they hang up "No Message".
It appears to be an unsolicited call from some sales company.

Same thing but this is about the 12th time they have rung me on my mobile and I do not give that out to anyone - how do they get hold of numbers like mine - I have found the best tactic is to wait until they talk - if you do that the computer that controls the whole thing appears to be voice activated and when you talk it puts you through to the next available person in the call centre and if there is no one available they hang up and drop you to the bottom of the line - I have tried abusing them but nothing stops them - i already have solar but that does not stop the calls - as we do not wok we cop them at all times of the day but rarely at night - strange.
