They just hung up?

Called up claiming they are from Optus and they are our provider. Not long after they hung up. Block this number or pick up and place it next to your radio. I'd recommend placing them on loud speaker and letting them listen to Rick Astley - Never Give You Up.

I have blocked the number and I can see they have tried calling me everyday for the last 8 days in a row

3 calls in 2 days. I am on the Do Not Call register.

Some sort of marketing company

Each time I block their numbers, they use a new one. They call every day! I am on the do not call register. They are a telemarketing company.

I called back number (08) 9289 2050 rang once then gets disconnected automatically.

Yeah I finally picked up this call (I don't know anyone in Perth that would call me, so had been ignoring it) and they promptly hung up.

Called several times this week and I picked up today Saturday and says he calls from Optus and has my full name and DOB correctly and talks about Optus perks. He said he wants to confirm if I’m using Optus app and getting the perks and confirm all my account details as they are moving their database to another system. I hung up saying I will call back Optus.

6 calls in three days. Answered once, the foreign guy at the other end said something about global calling direct. I told them to take me off the list and was reporting to the ombudsman.

(08) 9289 2050 lots of calls, barred their number and reported them to telecommunications ombudsman! Pure harassment.

comes up as coming from WA ... I'm in Vic.
They call every day, never leave a message - and have done for weeks.
There's no reason I know for soemone from WA to be calling me so .... I'm ignoring.
Another poster mentions Optus - my accounts are with Optus so could be but if it were legit I figure they'd leave a message

Ten calls in two weeks. Always when I can't take the call. Rang the 1800 no. on their answer machine and they ask me to go to their website and unsubscribe. NTC voice no.1800 203 174. www.ntcvoice.com.au. Why should you unsubscribe from an unsolicited, hassling call? I am never one to go in competitions or put phone no. on lists. This is just unprecedented harassment.

They claimed to be Optus wanting to check if my account is suiting my needs. I said I didn't have time to discuss it now and he said he would call me back. I said no, I'll call Optus back and he hung up.

Calls at least once a day, sometimes more. Haven't answered it though after reading the thread comments I'm glad I didn't waste my time!
