Insurance accident spammers.

Insurance scammers out of India using a proxy to give the impression of a WA based local number. Claiming to be from SRB Legal 44 St Georges Terrace, Perth calling about a car crash claim in which you are owed $15,000 ... yeah right

Upon being asked if I had been in a car accident I simply say “can you hang on a minute” Then put the phone on speaker and carry on conversation with self in background to sh*t them off and waste their time and hey presto they hang up! Good guys 1 scammers 0

A male voice slow speaking with foreign accent said "Calling about accident you had recently". I had no accident. Yes, it is an insurance scam.

Male voice with an Indian accident, asked about an accident reported from my number. Told them that someone must be telling lies as I haven't had an accident. Hung up on them

I called back the number and not connected.

Block the number! will see if that works for a while.

A guy with a very strong Indian accent called saying that it was in regards to an insurance accident claim. No one in the house has had an accident. Our number is private and is given to professionals that need the landline number. I asked how he obtained the number and told him never to call again and to f*** off, he hung up straight away. SCAM CALL.

Received a call from this number today. Didn't answer immediately when I said "Hello". Some Accident Insurance mob asking if I'd had a car accident this year.

I said "Yes. Rammed my car straight into (insert Insurance company name) on such-and-such road, Adelaide."

They got very miffed when I said "Adelaide". "You area-code 08 - You Western Australian."

Duh... NO. South Australia's Phone area code is also 08 just like Western Australia and Northern Territory. Any real Australian with half a brain cell would know that.


Recommend everyone Australia-wide:
1 - Report these mongrels to Scamwatch,
2 - Put (08) 9243 4684 in their call-blocking systems, &
3 - Warn the elderly and those who are gullible about this scam so they don't fall victim to this kind of crap.

Get this call regularly about an accident in the family. This is a Perth number. Is Telstra selling these numbers overseas? Shame on how these people can be using regit phone numbers whilst being scammers.

Male with foreign accent asking about a car accident you’ve supposedly been in recently. When pressed for details he tells you he is from the ‘accident department’. Asked which company he works for and he tells me he is a lawyer. Keep pressing him for which company he works for and he just hangs up. Creepy scammer praying on your concerns for the welfare of your family.

Same as above. Didn't recognize the number so let it go to machine and they hung up. Trouble is the scum also ring my elderly parents, luckily they are fore warned and don't get sucked in, but I feel sorry for others who are not so well informed.

They said they are from Accident Investigation Department. (Indian Voice)
They asked If I have had an accident within the last 12 months. I said No,
They said OK, then hung up on me.

I had blocked these Indian scammers a few months ago on my home phone. However I have just received a call from the above phone number and it is them again, from a different number this time. I am also on the DNC Register and wish they had the power to block these calls, trace where they are coming from and shut them down permanently!

'Peter' from 'Road Traffic Authority' telling me someone at my number had been in a traffic incident in last 12 months... when advised he was incorrect, he asked me if I was sure and then hung up... what the??

Continual scam calls from this number. They will not stop calling. Call up to four times a day.

My voicemail took the call. Of course they hung up, no message. My phone is unlisted so I called the number back - response was "this number is not connected". Merry Christmas, wankers.
