Answered call. Caller asked for previous owner of my number (which happens too often), when I said I wasn't him they hung up.

Answered the call but I did not speak all I heard in the background was foreign people talking then after a few seconds a male normal voice saying hello I didn’t respond and then hung up

They are scammers trying to get information and money from you.

Said number was disconnected when I tried to call back. I keep receiving these types of calls from various numbers. I find it best to look the number up before calling back and then block them.

Some rubbish about gas bills. When I asked for them to stop calling me as I have had similar calls from similar numbers hung up straight away.

I Rang this number back and recorded msg said please check the number again?

Caller ask for me by first name, which I did not confirm. When asked who was calling they started asking me about my 'gas/energy provider'. Call terminated as soon as I said I don't take phone calls for utilities.
