Multiple unsolicited missed calls from an unknown number. When returning call goes to voicemail immediately that sends caller to a website that says it is a marketing research company that works for the Australian government (along with other companies). The numbers listed on the website that cold calls may come from do not match this number. It would be easy for a scanner to create a voicemail to direct callers to a known website... But I currently am uncertain what the scam would be. If it is not a scam - then unsolicited calls are certainly not a modern or effective method of collecting data as it just causes inconvenience and annoyance and makes people block the number.

another nuisance, calls almost daily, my guess another 'robot' logging when people answer, just to be put up with silence. We are not on the NBN, not that we want it, or automated snoops that are with it..

Same as above. I've had 8 calls from this number in 6 days. It only rings 3-4 times. When I've answered it there is either no one there (dead air) or they have hung up. Painful indeed. Especially as we are now living in Singapore. Number has now been blocked.

Called at 730PM, didn't answer, their website http://mcnair.com.au/surveys/ states they " the following numbers; (02) 8287 0801 / (08) 8470 6999 " are "permitted to call both silent numbers and numbers that are on the Do Not Call Register" ITS A SCAM - DONT ANSWER AND BLOCK!

When you answer no one speaks other end so have blocked this number. Still they call every day as I have noticed in my blocked list.

why don't they just answer when you do........and why does it come up with suspected fraud????? nope not answering

This no has called me about 6 times so far but my phone says suspected fraud so I never answer it.

Several calls from this number over the past few weeks, sometimes twice a day or more. Never leaves a message and I agree with just about everyone on this page when they say if it was regarding something important then they should be professional about it and leave a message.

This number has been repeatedly calling, 10 times at last count for today, and it's not yet 10am!! They NEVER had they never respond when answered, so if it IS really a health survey, they seriously NEED to get a better company to conduct it or at the very least should use a PERSON not a broken machine!! I'm placing a complaint about these harrassing phone calls, they are not good for my health!
