This number is a scam

Phone rings out when u return call
Bit sus

Said they were from cancer support for families who provide accommodation, its sad that normaly I would give to this sort of charity though in this day and age you cant tell if its a scam or not so have to block

Received a call from this number my phone brought it up as suspected scam, rang back and it just rings out

Just another of the Telstra Technical Department scammers. Got this one on my mobile which is a change. Usual they bombard my home number.

I called back number (08) 8307 6290 rang 5 times then goes to busy tone.

Persistent calls on my mobile, went straight to an answering service stating all operators busy,etc....obvious scam......so I left a not very polite message!

Caller ID displayed number as (08) 8307 6290. Initial delay in answering, caller does not announce who they are and why they are calling they ask for someone in the house (by name). Had to ask who the caller was, some sort of Cancer Charity apparently. Persistent with selling spiel and calling. Due to audible background chatter I strongly suspect that this number is linked to a Call Centre. Similar numbers (same prefix) linked to "Telstra Technical Department", "ATO" and dubious "Charity" fundraising. SCAMMERS block number or do not answer.

When it said Charity I declined the call (I have my own charities I donate to) and have now blocked the number. If I do answer a call and nobody answers in the first second or two I finish the call as it is usually a scam, charity or otherwise unwanted and uninvited caller. They are then blocked.

Persistent callers. Tried numerous times over a week but we didn't recognise the number and began to suspect it was a scam.
