consistantly calling. no message, unable to call back. really annoying

I keep getting missed calls from (08) 8168 1296 - they never leave a voicemail message. Finally called them back - it is the Animal Welfare League lottery hotline. Probably trying to get me to sell another raffle ticket book for them :)

Caller said he was from the Pt Adelaide Football Club, when I questioned this (I have this number in my phone as its a business I deal with) he hung up. You can download an app that sends another persons number instead of yours. This person is a scammer trying to get your details. They are not the Phoenix Society or any other charity.

weird that when go to return the call it shows call rejected... hmmm suggests overseas contact centre for some reason. Oh and they don't have the common courtesy to leave a voice message grrr!

Just got a missed call from these guys and seeing that ive already been scammed once while selling my car I thought I would google the number. Thanks everyone for commenting on this number, It makes everyone's lives a little easier with prank callers.

Currently receiving calls from this number same time every afternoon. Unable to ring back. Also rings my mother every day same time. I will block it in future.

Just had a bit of fun with them :)
They said they were "phoenix" so I put on my old lady voice and asked the caller if they wanted Phiilip or Nicola (Phil or Nix) and who should I say was calling?
Dragged it out for a while with them saying "feee-nixxx" slowly and me saying, "yes dear, but which one?" until they hung up :)

I lodged a complaint about this number as I am on "do not call register". The result = the number is registered to a charity so they are allowed to cold call

I have been getting these calls every 2-3 ads, and they ring about 4 x day. won't answer it, so if it turns out to be Phoenix they no longer have my support

This number (08) 8168 1200, has been calling for years. 2-3 per day, sometimes everyday. never leave a msg and the phone number is engaged every time you call back.

After all the comments, they are a pain, best comment I like though is: If your on the do not call register, charities ignore this: So if they call, after you have stated your not interested, please do not call again, then they do: YOU ARE BEING HARASSED, hence action, should be applied to these charities.Its constant now, with overseas, who ignore our laws.Charities, simply employ, who ever they can get, pay them bugger all, so sorry charities, find other ways to get donations, and stop scamming people.

Phoenix society charity or not, if u answered a call to them a week ago, told them u were not interested and they still continue to call, isnt that harassment??

This number called me yesterday and today they called me again using a different number ( the last two digets are 12 not 00).

I didn't awnser either call but tried to ring back and kept getting disconnected.

Yes this number is soo damn annoying they have been ringing me twice a day for the past 4weeks. they decided to put their number on private caller as well. frustrating now i know its phoenix that would be right. some lady scammed me by saying ill send you some information in the mail i though ok thats fine. it was a raffle for $50 and the letter said if i didn't send the money i would end up in court i was soo angry i thought it was just information. Now obviously she wants to get more money out of me grrr never answering this number again!!!!

no message left - tried to return call but would not connect - so i googled and this is what i found - wonderful - now i wont waste my time
