People expecting scam callers to abide by the "Do Not Call" register? Bizarre...

Easily a scam. But you can have some fun with them. I had the chinaman soundboard up so I pranked them with a few funny accents for 15 seconds before they hung up. "Hallo,,, whazzzaz ya name?..." (in a funny accent).... hahah.

Indian Windows scam!! Got hold of my dad and kept him on the phone for 3 hours. Got his email and credit card number. Opened a Western Union account and tried to transfer money.
Luckily, there was no credit.

Being harassed by this number. 3 calls in 2 days. Each time I answer it says "Goodbye" in an automated voice. Rang back and no one will answer.

I thought that the bulk of these scammers claimed that they were from Microsoft... Not this caller, an Indian accented woman said she was from Adaware claiming that i have errors on my computer. It seems that these people are trying a new company to say they are from. Take care, don't believe her, put the phone down, don't hang up just yet. Wait 5- 10 minutes, then hang up, this will stop them.

Definitely a scam! Obviously these people are trying a new angle of telling us that we have a problem with our computers. A woman with an indian accent called claiming that my computer was sending error messages and virus issues to her company. She said she was calling from Adaware!! Mmm, I have not used any Adaware product since my previous P.C. Don't say anything else to them, exept that you are an I.T. expert yourself and nothing is wrong with my computer. She hung up before I did...

Same number as above. 'Nancy' called to let me know I apparently have people hacking my computer 'as we spoke', said she's from 'PC Support and Service' and Adelaide based. Does not work for Telstra. Wanted me to turn on my computer and go into a file? and check on a 'number' (has a copy of to prove she is legit) so that she could step me through repairing my computer. Told her I'm not comfortable doing that on line and over the phone and I will deal with it myself, I asked for her number, she gave me (08) 7200 0370 (realising my phone was saying the other number above) She started to raise her voice at me and said she will call her supervisor to confirm what she was saying. I simply hung up in her ear.

why cant Telstra send some people around to sort them out.
Using a telecommunications device for harassment used to be a crime?

DO NOT DO WHAT THEY TELL YOU TO.

They are scammers who will send all your info to their computer and steal credit cards details. Just play with them a bit and make their lives harder... Then hang up!!!!
