I inadvertently answered, said it was for disabled childrens foundation

Get plenty of these calls and I let them ring out and then use the *10# rediall facility. Most of them are from machines that just want to know the best time to contact you.

The phone rang , I answered and apart from my name , which they obviously knew , I could not understand what the man said and just told him to get someone I would understand to ring me . That was the end of the conversation . Obviously this number and many others are some kind of scam and I reported a phone number to Telstra once and they were not interested in doing something to stop it . I am wondering why these numbers are simply not disconnected by them .

Yup, still calling at random times of the day, inc weekends - no answer if I do call screen, just 20 seconds of silence from their end before they hang up. Getting rather annoyed between that and the Private calls doing the same stuff every couple of days (2am FFS!)

Hrm, they called and it rang out. I'm on DNC register AND have a silent number.
