Scammers pretending they are the tax office

This call is from the "ATO". Except it is not. Even if you have a debt with the ATO they will not behave like the caller on this line. See ato.gov.au for more details on how the ATO behave.

Left message saying they were from the Tax Office and there was a debt owing, for which proceedings will be issued. TOTAL SCAM.

Scam - Number of calls with last one saying final notice. When try and call back - no answer or message.

Left a threatening message pretending to be from Australian Tax Office, why can't they be prosecuted ?

Hi I just reported this number to the real ATO so now they now about it they will report them to the police!

Why does this number still even exist? They are still pretending to be scammers now and when your ring the number they still pretend it's the ATO (even thought they have foreign accents)!

Yes a scam, when you ring the number back I told the first guy I would like to talk to the man in charge so that when the police come to get them, we will know who is involved. He said 'No miss, are you really going to arrest me'! Got no further information from the next Indian on the phone other than 'You can come, you can come'. I told him that was great we have tracked the number now, thank you for holding the line and we will see him shortly! Lol.
Thats ridiculous that we cant do something about it!!! I will call my provider today!

These idiots have been ringing me for two weeks!! I dont care!!! ATO as if, bloody scammers just stop ringing me please.

I have 5 messages from the so called ATO stating that this is my final notice regarding a law suit and to call the ATO on (08) 7070 6189. Thank you for verifying that this is a scam.

They called me twice and left a message that ATO was going to take me to court. Knew it was a scam so called them back a number of times. When I asked them what it was all about they hung up on me. When I asked them if they wanted money, they told me to shut up and hung up on me. It is a really, really bad and unprofessional scam using Indian workers. They now do not answer my call when I try to call them. Guess they now have me on a black list! If you want a bit of fun, call them back...

Received call this number, not home and message talks about tax office

Yep Overseas scammers claiming to be from ATO. They have threatened that the police are on the way to arrest me for tax fraud, that was 3 weeks ago and still the police have not arrived. Now they are giving me "one last chance" to contact them. They keep leaving recorded messages.
