Ended call when answered

automated message about an insurance claim I had apparently submitted which I didn't. It is spam

Got call from them - didn't recognise number so checked here! Thank you - saved me a call back - have now added to my list of scam numbers.

Caller: Car scam

I answer and they hung up i call back and they said something about a car. I just told them never to call back.

Ive had multiple calls from different numbers about car accident i didnt have.

Caller: It came up on true caller as "Car Claims Insurance"

I didn't answer it as I didn't know the number. It's went to my message bank and the caller on the other end just hung up. Like I said on True Caller it's comes up with Car Claims Insurance- so it must be a Scam as all of you have stated.

Agree - they call themselves “first response “ apparently.
I called them back when I missed the call
When I asked who they were they said is it regarding my car accident .. I said no not that scam - they hung up 😂

Caller: Claims Department?

When I answered a recorded message saying "this is Amanda from the claims department, if you've been in an accident in the last 6 months. press 1. If you want your number removed press 2 "
You get the same recorded message when you call back.

I answered and there was nobody answering on the other end which immediately made me suspicious because often a delay in response means its one of those fake/overseas calls... so I hung up, checked the number here, saw it was indeed a scam and have now blocked it.

Confirmed, I just got this scam attempt too.

Scam car accident call. I had a missed call from this number yesterday morning. This is not the first time I have had calls of this type but via a different number previously. Pressing 2 to have your number removed, as per their voice message, doesn't work. And when you get firm with them they ususally hang up on you.

It didn't even ring, just showed up as missed call - again
