  I recieved a call from this number today 15th November 2008 a day after recieving the same type of calls from (02) 8986 9400 for 2 days atleast 3 times a day. Im on a prepaid mobile plan and I'm thinking whatever this scam is is somehow chewing into my credit. I'm interested in knowing more about the Nigerian Mate also!

  IM in Australia right now. I got a call from (08) 6464 1500this morning,  i answered it and there was silence, later they cut the phone...

  What is the reason for these calls? What are they trying to do?  I just dont get it. I have a friend who lives in Nigeria and over the last few weeks, he has called and 3 different numbers have come up. One is 11 11 11, then, (02) 8986 9400, and the most recent (08) 6464 1500. The network over there is bad, at times we can't even get through to each other at all. Is it bad network??

  I have an acquaintance travelling in Nigeria and he rings frequently.  Sometimes the number comes up as 11 11 11 and recently the number came up as (08) 6464 1500.  He claims to be calling from his U.K. mobile phone all the time.  I think this must be some sort of network "scam" going on in Nigeria with routing calls through other numbers.If anyone has any other info., please post here.
