I am the Marketing & Fundraising Manager for WA Police & Community Youth Centres (PCYC).
Calls from this number may be from PCYC seeking your support to purchase raffle tickets. (All phone numbers called are listed in the white pages)

As a not-for-profit organisation that receives no recurring government funding we rely on fundraising initiatives such as raffles to help us continue our life-changing work with youth-at-risk in the WA community.

If you no longer wish to receive calls from us please call our raffle hotline on 1300 265 162 or email info @ wapcyc.com.au and ask to be removed from our contact list. Please leave your full name and number. Once you do this you will no longer receive any calls from PCYC.

I apologise for any annoyance our calls may have caused.

Cool - just missed a call from this number and thought I'd check this site before ringing them back. I think I'll just add them to my phone's auto-reject list. Dunno who they are or what they want, but I'm pretty sure I'm not interested!

Had two missed calls from this number in the past week. No message left. Annoying. After reading through other complaints, I had the same thing happen about a year ago with a number associated with RFDS, but when answered they would hang up. Ended up reporting to Do Not Call (I am registered), and got an apology from RFDS after it was investigated.

This number would annoy me for days on end. They would call me everyday for weeks. (I still don't know how they got my number, as I am on the Do Not Call register and not in the white pages). Even when I said to them I was a student with little income, they never listened. Eventually I got ahold of them and told them to remove me. They said they did, and that they would start notifying me again (translation: start annoying me again) in the next raffle period. I said that they needed to remove me from the system completely, as I never consented to being in the system in the first place. After some convincing, they did it and I haven't been annoyed by them since.

So if you have asked to be removed and are still receiving calls, this is why. I know it's ridiculous but you were only removed from that particular raffle period. Contact them again and ask to be removed from their system completely.

(08) 6444 4816 belongs to Insight Marketing, a scam telemarketing firm. They find charities like PCYC and RSPCA to sell raffle tickets, but Insight gets more than half the money (60%) as part of their promotion.
Insight agents are paid commission so they churn and burn- they need to make as many calls as possible and they pressure the victim. Insight agents have been recorded in calls being rude, swearing, and they will just hang up if you ask them who is calling (this is a violation of ACMA rules).

This Today Tonight segment from Nov 2014 explains their scam.
Today Tonight Call centre bullies https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6vqY1IwJ9j8
If the link has been taken down, google *Today Tonight Call centre bullies*

I have called the local PCYC and told them how rude Insight is. PCYC confirmed that they use Insight and were not aware of their telemarketing abuse.

I posted this in Jan 2015 and PCYC was going to review their relationship with Insight and remove my number from their call list. Now I am getting more calls from them and when I spoke to my local PCYC branch, the Asst Manager said this was all Bullsh*t. I told him I have never been sworn at by a charity and I will never support PCYC or any other charity that uses a scammer like Insight.

If you are genuine???? Please take note. I get so many unsolicited calls wanting donations, raffle ticket sales etc, I have a policy of ONLY donating to organisations I choose - and they are NOT ones who phone me or waste money on glossy brochures and "gifts". I do not pay for my phone so it can be used by others for their purposes (good or bad).

I was previously employed by the highly immoral Insight CFS. Basically what the company is doing is cold calling elderly senile Australians and intimating/pressuring them to purchase raffle tickets via credit or debt card for a charity such as the PCYC or RSPCA etc, which cost $1000.00 dollars or less. I am embarrassed to admit that I once worked for Insight CFS, and I feel so dirty. Hangup, if Insight CFS call you.

Firstly, if you don't actually answer the phone ... or call them to ask to be removed, they will just keep calling you! Companies like this use an auto dialer, so your number just gets re-hashed through the system. In the time it took you to post your frustrated comments on this site, you could have just called them and asked to be removed.
Secondly, to those that are complaining because they are on the DO NOT CALL register - political parties, charities and religious organisations are exempt.

They have called 13 times this month alone. I never answer and they hang up before the answering machine kicks in. Leave a message and if I don't call you back obviously I am not interested - so please stop calling. Sick of you making me get of the couch every second night...

I have been a long term supporter of PCYC and think they do a great job. However after 8 calls in 2 weeks, where I answer the call from (08) 6444 4816 and no one responds and it hangs up on me, I have had enough! So I rang the 1300 265 162 number and asked them to remove me from their list of donors. I suppose it now allows me to donate that money to another charity of my choice.

I have been receiving calls from this number between 5pm-7pm everyday for the last couple of months.
I think who ever is wasting their time and money obviously have not got a life and they need to get a proper job and do something constructive with their time.

How can you say that only numbers listed in the white pages are called. I've had 4 calls to my mobile which I haven't even had for a month yet and my number certainly isn't listed in the white pages! Total BS!!!!!!
