Have received two nuisance calls from this number today 08Mar2012, considering we are on the don't call register, I shall be reporting same to the authorities.

I received a call from this number (08) 6444 4800 today. They left a voice mail message, heavy breathing and just hung up saying nothing.
Very odd...

have received 6 calls from this number, same issue it either stops ringing or hang up after i answer. tried calling back and the number does not exist. prank caller?

I have had a series of these as missed calls over the last week or so. Usually one or two per day. We too are on the 'do not call register'.

Caller stated he was from a nationwide survey company asking my opinion on state and council elections. I am on the 'do not call' register. How do these market research companies get around this?

Just had a call from them today (its Sunday !!!!!), as soon as i answered, they hung up

I have had this number try and call me three times in the last few days. I always miss the call, try and call back and get the number is not connected message.

I have been receiving these calls for a couple of weeks. Starts out with a private number during the day which I answer, and get no response and I hang up. Later I receive an evening call from the 08 number. Not happy.

I have had 3 ph calls from them at 7pm on my home ph, I just let it go to my anwsering machine but they never leave a message. it's starting to get annoying

Just received a call from Prostate cancer asking if they could send out some information re rasing money, I said yes and then she asked for money upfront!. i hung up I get calls at least twice a day from scamers, this lady may or may have been a scammer but how can you tell, i am very suspicious as all my scam calls come from 03 or 08 numbers.

We have been receiving these calls at all hours from (08) 6444 4800 and we are on the do not call register. This is a scam as the Indian lady on the phone asked for personal details about our computer activity which we refused to give. This did not stop them from calling!! I called Crimestoppers and they advised me to report this to scamwatch.gov.au (Govt) which i am in the process of doing now. This should not be happening and with the incredible rise of identity theft in the world right now we all need to do our bit and report these criminals.

I spoke to a person and she said they sell raffles to rundraise for the police or something, i said no thanks and then she just hung up, they have rung about 5 times now, but its anoying coz we have a 100 lines so i am expecting another 95.Most of the time they hang up but one actually spoke to me.

I actually work for this company you are talking about and I am shocked to be hearing all of this.
I try and treat people with respect and honesty every call every day and cannot believe this is your experience with our company. it would be a shame for people to stop supporting great cause's out there that really need help because of bad practice or actual set up and maintanience of these import issue's.
Without a respectful and transparent procedure people will sadly stop supporting and the real losers are all the people that go hungry or get cancer or do not have a family around for support. they will be the real losers and I find this to be very sad

I didnt get to it in time either so I rang it thru my Yahoo messenger that only costs about 1 cent a minute to any number and it too said the number was not connected. I then did a reply from my mobile (the phone I 1st recieved the number on) So I will wait and see what my statement says.

Our experience of this abusive mystery phone caller/s is as follows:

Phone Number displayed, (08) 6444 4800 (Believed to originate from the Perth area of Western Australia). Displayed as: (08) 6444 4800, (08) 6444 4800 or (08) 6444 4800.

We live in the Blue Mountains Area of NSW. We have received approximately 25 calls from this number over the last 12 months. All calls have been documented by time, day, date and duration. The calls are made usually during the week Mon to Fri and are about mid afternoon to early evening. (Perth time).

(You need to document this information when you report the nuisance to enable investigators from Telstra, or possibly State or Federal Police to search phone log dates and times. (This behaviour is an offence under the Telecommunications Act).

The caller is usually a female and starts by asking for a “Mr Dawson“. When told they have dialled the wrong number, the woman becomes abusive and shouts and screams down the phone and demands you give her your name. When you ask her any questions, she becomes evasive. When you ask what is it she wants she mentions a charity such as "House With No Steps".

The female demands you tell her your name and she states, “Give me your name or these calls will not stop“.

The second last call we received from this number was from a young female (female stuttered as she talked), she asked for a “Mr Dawson“.

The last two calls made to our phone (unanswered), from phone number, (08) 6444 4800, were at approximately 3.15 pm and again at 3.20 pm on Thursday 4 March 2010.
