Caller: Scam

“Hi this is Steve from the claims team, just calling in regards to the accident you’ve been in”

Scam- I’ve not been in any accidents and this is the millionth time I’ve received a call with this recording but from different numbers

SCAM!! Same as above, (08) 9370 4942 & (08) 9370 4939 within a couple of days, recorded message investigating an accident, that I suppose to have had, which is BS. What accident??? SCAM big time. Hang up, and don't give in to them, whoever they are.
Just block the numbers.

Said it was about an accident I had been in- have not been in an accident....

had the same call multiple times - you would think they could remove the number or at least trace it

Called asking for my daughter , creepy saying she’d been in an accident. I pretended I was her put on a young girls voice to try and get info and they said they are an investigating unit. And here to help. I told them I didn’t understand and he said we will take your name of the register . Weird scamming phone call

I got the same call , although I have put in an ambulance claim and thought it was regarding that so I pressed 1 .. do u think they have accessed my phone now or details?

they hung up before i answered . when checking call found it was the accident scam phone mob. hoping i would ring them back

I called back number (08) 6370 4942 reached voice mail but did not say for what company.

Scam call, recording claiming 299.99 submitted against my PayPal account, hung up and blocked.

Got a call but didn't recognise WA area code as being any one I'd know so googled the number and hey presto SCAMMER.
They should catch these scumbags and give them a flogging!

My dad missed a call from this number and asked me to call back for him. Automated female voice answers saying "Good day my name is julie, calling from the existing claims department..." I have blocked similar automated calls from other numbers claiming the exact same thing

Called and left answering message to call back, when I called back the answering message indicated I have been in an accident. Then it says dail 1 to speak with someone, I did and no one came on the line. Maybe our phone provider's should identify these scam number's and completely block them from calling anyone in their network ie Telstra, Optus and other phone provider's should follow task. I have tried to block the number and they are still able to call us...

Thanks to the previous comments I did not answer this call. Can’t the communication ombudsmen block this scam,

These losers call so often. Today I decided to play along. I was so vague in my answers to them. They put me through to a manager and I said I was in NSW. Said they couldn’t help me only WA accidents. I lost my sh*t at the guy and he said he would call me everyday just to piss me off.
Option 2 is to remove your number. If you chose that the call disconnects.

From Claims Dept. Said they had been trying to contact me. At that point I hung up as I knew it was a scam. Number to be blocked.

Had numerous calls from this number, always looks local so until you answer you have no idea it's a scam... "You have recently been involved in an accident" call. They use a combination of computer recorded and real people to make the calls. I always put the phone to one side and leave the line open for as long as possible so it wastes their time and lessens the number of calls they can then make.

The number is still active 3 June 2020. Why don't the telco's and the federal police deal with these scumbags.
