This number keeps calling me even though I have blocked them

needing to confirm details of my accident. (Not that I have had any accident)

Caller: It was an insurance claims department

It was a scam call about an accident I had a while back. There was no such accident. Just hang up.

Something about a call in the accident that I was involved in

Some pre-recorded message about an accident you were involved in, obviously a scam call.
Just hang up.

Caller: This caller claims to be a from a 'claims team' about 'an accident you were involved in'.

Unidentified callers about accident claims are usually a scam and should be avoided. The caller should provide SUFFICIENT DETAILS to identify the date and place of the accident, as well as basic details about you and your vehicle. If they can't, do not provide them. If they can, ask them for their name, company name and a number to call back on. If they claim to be the INSURANCE COMMISSION OF WESTERN AUSTRALIA or YOUR INSURER, then use the number on that entity's website and not the one you are given on the phone.

Be safe and be careful about providing details to unexpected callers.

Called the number back and it was someone claiming I had been in an accident. I haven't.

An automated message from the 'claims team' asking about the accident I'd been involved in. I hadn't been involved in an accident so I hung up.

Recorded message from a 'Steve' implying I had been in a car accident and asking to press 1 - I promptly hung up. Given that I haven't been in a car accident and this number doesn't belong to an insurance company, almost certain scam.

Recorded message saying press 1 if i was involved in an accident or press 2 if i wasn't,
then i was disconnected ., didn't press anything . Am going to block !

Pre recorded message from Steve regarding an motor vehicle accident gives you options #1 if you have been in an accident and #2 if you haven't been in one... It then hangs up.

Calls regularly and never answers then hangs up.

I called back, and it said it was "Steve from the claims team wanting to talk to me about the accident I had, and needed to confirm a few details"

I called back number (08) 6255 5538 rang once then gets disconnected automatically.
