Mate, banks call me all the time. I am with Bankwest so I dont wanna answer the call because i know im up to date with everything. They try to cross sell and up sell their products. I used to have a mortgage with ANZ, I only have a few normal bank accounts with them ad my local branch rings me al the time trying to get me back with my mortgage. Sooooo...... The banks definitely call you for various reasons.

This is a scam number. Confirmed this by calling Bankwest on 131719 and determining if any person from the real Bankwest had called- NO. Do not give the scam number your password.

I returned call and it diverted to Bankwest. Bankwest Advise that the Number in not a number they would call from. Do not give details if you answer this number.

I have just received a call from this number asking for my password to discuss my account!. They were not gettig that from me.
I checked via sms chat with Bankwest and it is a scam.

I got a call from this number a few minutes after leaving a Target and it was from Bank West. They were just checking I had made 4 different transactions in that store, all under a $100 on paypass. As this was unusual they had put a block on my card. I just verified that 'yes' I had indeed made those transactions and the block was removed. I was just happy that they were 'on it' and if this was someone else using my card they wouldn't have been able to spend anymore of my money.

They left voicemail saying they were from Bank West about 10% discount something.
Im warned from another Bank about phone scam like this. I just block it I dont pick up and ring back onoy ring the number on website.

I got a call from this number but I didn't answer. I contacted Bankwest and they said it's not a number they use and when they tried it, it came up disconnected. So my guess is that it is most likely a scam.
