OMGGGGGGG I have a daughter seriously ill in hospital and each time my phone rings I panic so when this number keeps calling me it is utterly criminal now knowing it is a scam! Why cant Telstra advertise this scam on radio & tv. Also an email to their clients would be helpful informing them. Thank goodness I finally googled reverse numbers out of desperation and found this site to find out whats going on.

Ringing 2-3 times a day. I do not answer calls I do not know. Don't know what made me google the number but I'm glad I did now.

I couldn't wait the 15min wait time they had recorded when i rang them back, however, they are able to call me four times a day and hang up when i answer. Very frustrating - wasting my time!!!!

Have been calling me on a regular basis and either hang up before I can answer or hang up as soon as I answer. I have now blocked their number. They also rang my husbands mobile saying they were TGA ringing on behalf of Telstra and arranged contracts without his authorisation that we were subsequently charged for by Telstra. Took us 6 weeks and hours of phone calls to Telstra to get them to sort it out. We did some investigations and found that the call came from a Telstra business centre which had call centre authorisation to make the calls. We believe the business centre call centre is based in Qld, hence the 08 area code. DODGY!!!!

we are with Telstra so complained to them: call 13 2200 and say “unwelcome calls". had this stopped several months ago but now started on my mobile again. got it blocked again. Telstra chap told me they are calling from overseas with VOIP, and are just using this number to mask who they really are.

This number continues to call me on my Mobile and maybe Land line, I don't answer, due to what I see here. They never leave a message.
I bought an Android Mobile Phone about 4 weeks ago and downloaded a FREE CALL BLOCKER APP to stop these clowns. I currently have around 40 scammer and telemarketer numbers in my blacklist - the phone doesn't even ring, but is set to drop the number in missed calls log. The Blocker app can screen out all unknown numbers, phone book only ring, hang up on / screen specific numbers etc.
I divert my Land Line to my Mobile and screen calls to home number as well (the only calls I get land line during the day are scammers and telemarketers! It takes a lot of stress out of the day! So much for the Do Not Call Register!

MY ADVICE TO EVERY ONE WITH A SMART PHONE - DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL A CALL BLOCKER APP - many free apps that are excellent in screening calls.

They rang my wifes mobile. As I was checking the number on here (via my mobile), they coincidentally rang my phone for one ring then hung up?!?

Actually I had today as well call from this number and they NAND up. I am glad I googled it. And little bit thinking what I can do to stop it and I founded solution ;))
Add this number to yours contact, and add to this contact melody with out silent :)) So, when this number will call you, your phone will just not ring. You later just will see missed call but never take your time to picked up this call.

Re my comment November 8th. Saw the number again, picked the receiver up and dropped it down again. Easily dismissed. As long as they are keeping their provider in business then everybody is happy.

If you receive such calls, phone Telstra Customer Support and complain long and loud about how your time has been wasted and the stress you have been placed under, and what they plan to do about it terms of compensating you. A deduction in charges from your bill is what they usually offer. If no such offer, advise them you are referring the dodgy practices to the Telecommunications Ombudsman. Good success here.

It's fun just to recognise the smell when you see these numbers and hang up on them. I pick the receiver up and simply drop it down again that same split second. Not too many of them persist for much longer.

This is a thinly disguised CIA (USA) Tracking Service to capture "voice prints" for their Analysis System machine . The pauses in conversation are when recording your comments (and sounds) . AVOID THIS !!.
