this number is at the least very persistent. i found the best way to deal with them is to add the number to my phones reject list - i am no longer bothered by it as my phone auto rejects this caller ID.

for those that are suffering with this number - check your phone as most have the option to actuivate a reject list and once done it is set and forget. Bliss

I have received a call from this number many times. A while back I decided to saved their number into my phone's contacts as "Scam 3" ("Scam", "Scam 1" and "Scam 2" have already been identified and entered). Now when they call, I just look at the caller id and push the phone aside.

Very easy to deal with.

Sick of these calls

Have phoned me about 5 times the past week. I didn't answer because I looked up their number on here and found they were spam. I finally answered this morning, advising that I don't want them to call me anymore and to remove my number from their calling list (you can do this for any telemarketer that phones you). She said she was calling because I am a Telstra business customer, and they're not trying to sell me anything, just to check that the service is ok. Who calls to check that your service is okay?? I said that everything is fine, I don't have the time to take these calls, and hung up.

They're called TTA Telco. I just returned their call and was jumped through a load of pre-recorded hoops where they asked for information so they could confirm my identity and then stop calling me. Sure, I need to give you all my details so you WON'T call me.. that makes sense. Scam anyone?

I've complained direct to Telstra about this. Like so many people here I can't understand why Telstra haven't shut this number down. Surely this is fraudulent at some level? The pre-recorded message would have you believe that you're talking to Telstra - which you're not. Rubbish effort by Telstra to date.

Rings me every morning at about 9:30am.
When I answer, it hangs up.
Call it back and it says "PTA Telco Group" wanting to call me about Telstra products and services.

This only started when I move my number to my business and got a busineess plan. I think Telstra have sold our info to them or they are legitimately part of Telstra.

They let you press '2' to opt-out but it transfers you to the 'opt-out' department and rings out.

I'd love to leave but Tel$tra are the only network with reasonable competence (no way optus) and network coverage (sorry Vodaphone) so I guess I'm stuck.

these guys call me a couple of times a week. Really annoying when I'm at work. If I ever answer it there is silence and then it hangs up.

I have a blocked number but still get phone calls from some one with a heavy accent (non english) who claims to be representing TELSTRA . I must piss them off by hanging the phone up . Why are we , as consumers , putting up with this garbage ?.

Thanks for the advice. I have blocked them. They have called me about once a week/f/n. Glad to get rid of them. They try and sell a telstra service that is 20-30 dollars per month more than the original telstra service. I know because, i went to telstra to order an internet connection that was better that the service i had before, and the telstra rep gave me a service with double the download for 30 dollars cheaper. We could do something crazy like place job ads in Gumtree or Craigslist with a link to 6228-4009 and ask for Telstra. lol. If you are looking for an online job, then google me. To block the number from calling you completely:
If you have an iPhone, hit the (i) button next to the number in your Recents list, then scroll to the bottom. Tap on "Block this caller".
This will block them from calling.

This number phoned 2 mobiles in 30 seconds, same as below rung once and hung up. I checked here and decided to phone them.

It is TSA Australia and apparently they are an industry partner in some way to Telstra (confirmed by Telstra Business customer service representative).

I've filed a complaint with Telstra, as I believe this TSA Australia's "Business (and I use the term loosely) practices" are to make Telstra clients fork out money for a phonecall to attempt to sell a Telstra product or service, simply because they think that they missed a call from their own customer.

I urge everyone who receives hang up calls from this number to phone Telstra and advise their discontent with TSA Australia's "business practices." The more people that complain, the more chance that this practice will stop.
