Different number same area code. yes I did all i thought was due diligence. Scammers were offering caravan at (yes too good to be true price) Pitch was van was left to this scammer by a dead uncle. He did not want the van and wanted to sell it quickly hence the bargain price He said he now lives in UK. My big mistake was to click on the link that they provided which looked like the real shipping company he said would handle the transaction to protect buyer and seller. Money would be deposited in a trust account and when i received the caravan I had 5 days to inspect. If van was no good then I would get money back (HA HA) .They even sent me a registration of the van which showed name, rego etc. Did the vin search which is a waste of time in these cases as all it shows is if the van had any financial interest, registered etc. It is a real van, but it does not show who actually owns the van. My guess is they got the rego (by a scam) and just put their false name on it. Great con, in hind sight I can find some simple mistakes in their correspondence with me, but I was blinded by such a good deal

Same. Very convincing con-job. Some one calling themselves Dorian Blair based in England selling a Toyota Landcruiser for $10,200. It is unbelievable how they are set up with answers that are so well tuned. Wasted $60 getting a REVS report but in a way it saved me thousands because the traveled kilometer did not match up. Bloody bastards. And if you report it to police they do nothing.
