(08) 6214 2239 called my work phone that is not at all associated with my name looking for my brother - the name was Makanaka. I wont be passing this on.

I called back the number (08) 6214 2239 and reached vm that did not mention the company name

This person has just tried to phone me. He/she then sent a text message asking me to call them back. I responded that 'as I don't know you please tell me why you need to speak to me.' Has not responded.

apparently a person "Makanaka" calling my friends trying to find me. If they can find my friends surely they can find me if they wanted to. Pioneer Credit? but they dont say that to my friends, just a text message to get my friends to tell me to call her? All sounds dodgey

After they rang me, they left a text message saying to ring makanaka about an important matter.

It's Pioneer Credit. A Debt Collection Company.

Why am I having these numbers call me

Caller: Renee Forman, about a personal matter for an old work friend of mine I haven’t seen in years.

I expect it’s a debt collector going by comments above.
