Caller: They say Commonwealth Bank

Indian sounding lady said she was from Commonwealth Bank security and the bank had cancelled a payment I made this morning to John Smith in the USA for $600USD. While on the phone, I used my computer to log on & see if any other strange payments were made. Thankfully nothing but also no message from Commonwealth Bank to say they had cancelled any payments. Smelling a scam call and, for fun while having lunch, I played along. She then transferred me to "her manager", a gentleman, who asked me to put my phone on speaker and log into my bank account as he needed to check the security on my account. I told him I was already logged in on my computer, plus I can put my phone to my ear and type at the same time. He got angry and told me in quite a stern voice to put my phone on speaker, log out of my computer and log in using the banking app on my phone. He kept insisting over and over again to put my phone on speaker. At this point, I had had enough so I told him I knew this was a scam and there was NO WAY IN HELL I would use the keys on my phone to log in while he was listening as I know each key makes a specific sound and I would be giving him my log in details without saying a word and without realising it. He immediately hung up.

scam call from indian womam telling me of fraudulent activity on my credit account with commonwealth bank and that to verify it needed to log into my account. as i was bored and banked elsewhere it was my turn to have fun as she transfered me to her senior
supervisor who insisted on me restarting my computor i had time to put on my earmuffs before hitting him with a blast from a 104db air canister horn. from the screams and colorful language that came from the receiver i hope they have medical insurance

Pretend to be from Amazon and call regarding my Amazon account. I don’t have an Amazon account.

Missed a few calls from this number which said Perth WA. Tried calling back just for the hell of it & it just kept coming up as number busy. Add this as #381 to my list of blocked numbers…soooo over my number being sold to all of these call centres! I feel like selling my list of blocked numbers for people to avoid! If I ever happen to answer the phone & there’s someone at the other end…I actually ask them which company they bought their database from so I can go straight to the top to have my number removed…a few people have actually told me! I’d change my number if I hadn’t already had it for 25+ years & it wasn’t such an easy one to remember…😏

Called to say a international payment was pending on my credit card and wanted to verify it. I don’t have a credit card and once I said that he changed it to savings account.🙄 Then I asked which bank and he said comm bank. I said well send me a msg via the app with what you are ringing about. He said mame we have 24hrs before we release the money. I said bullsh*t! Then he says the call is recorded and I can not be abusive. I said go annoy someone else and hung up. Of course I called the bank MYSELF and they verified no fraudulent activity was going on.

My father almost got taken by this mob a few weeks ago- similar message to those referencing Com Bsnk- call from Perth- didn’t answer- scam- blocked

Someone just called me claiming they are from Commonwealth bank Head quarters and someone has opened an account with my details and they gave me a IP address and asked me to type something is google cause someone in the US just stole all my details and has hacked my account. Indian man and when i said that his number had been exposed a fraud he got angry and said i was being recorded. LOL tried to give him a call back at Comm bank HQ but guess what the number doesn't work. Wish these guys would get a real job!
