Just called me saying they were yellow pages. The girl could hardly string a sentence together. Couldn't read my name and even got the house number wrong. Call was being recorded for training purposed. Well they need a heap more training. I know eight year old that can read better. Sheesh!

Have received multiple calls from this number, who claim to be Sensis White Pages. They were asking to speak with the person responsible for the White Pages listing and I finally ended up speaking with them in an attempt to stop future calls.

They called our business line, for which we only have the free standard listing (name, address and landline number). The person calling advised that the White Pages was no longer being physically printed but that she needed to update our records because we only had limited information that our customers would be able to find in the various forms that the White Pages will be distributed (which she advised as including their website, apps, google searches, etc).

I advised that we only have the basic listing because our clients are all referrals and our business strategy is not to advertise our details as she was suggesting. She attempted different approaches to obtain our website address, other contact details and other details about our business, at which point I asked if listing these details would attract a charge. She advised that as we only had the complimentary listing, yes, these additional details would attract a fee.

She persisted with trying to tell me how important this information was to my customers and after multiple times of repeating myself, she eventually accepted my position and the call ended.

Extremely dodgy call from a polite man with an Indian accent, purporting to be from Yellow Pages. Asking about updating my Yellow Pages details so customers can find me—which is pretty odd given I don't even have a business let alone a Yellow Pages listing? The noise in the background sounded like a group of men cheering at sport or a party. I could barely hear but the guy calling seemed to be apologising and saying he'd just delete my details. I just ended the call. Very odd!

Legitimate call from the Yellow Pages (owned by Sensis) after I signed up for a listing with them. The call is to confirm the details of the listing and verify the phone number. Friendly person with an Irish accent, and while there was some mild attempt at upselling their internet advertising / marketing services, she didn't push the point. Not annoying or scammy at all.

If you go to their website http://www.ntcvoice.com.au/ and click on 'contact us' there is an OPT OUT option.

Companies employ NTC to collect data and run surveys and stuff so, no doubt, they would represent themselves as working for whatever customer they are collecting data for.

I work for the company that calls from this number. Yes we are NTC Voice Solutions, we are based in Perth & Melbourne. Our Melbourne office routes from the Perth router hence the 08 number that appears on your screen. You can't return the call because it is on a dialer system which only does outbound calls.
NTC Voice Solutions is an outsource for Sensis, which deals with Yellow Pages & True Local. We are completely legit & not a 'scam". In simple terms we deal on behalf of Sensis, which a lot of large companies will do. Yes we have a lot of different nationalities working for us such as Indians, as Australia is a very multi cultural country. So for us being a scam is completely incorrect, it seems that people just jump to conclussions before actually knowing the facts.
Have a nice day.

This number is a class one serial pest ringing 6 to 10 times a day, but then scammers are bloody persistent. Why isnt the Gov or the Telcos doing something about d***s like these, it gets really tedious dropping things to get to the phone then seeing you are wasting time.

They called twice within a minute but left a message this time! That was a surprise. Indian accent said she was from Yellow Pages and will call again to discuss my advertising. After 19yrs of advertising with YP if i had anything to discuss i'd contact them. No surprises reading here of an smell of an impending up-sell!!

Yes Australia is a multi cultural country but your call centre is obviously offshore. Your people can't even speak proper English. What a joke!! If your people are in Melbourne and Perth, your HR Manager should get the sack.
