called number back, disconnected, suspect overseas telemarketing

called me this afternoon. ask for me by name (made sure i didn't use the word yes) couldn't understand what she was saying...something about electricity.. hung up and tried to call back and the number they called from was disconnected...SCAM!!! I now have Blocked the number. I have been receiving about 1 phone call a day (Monday to Friday) from various people all from different numbers but all trying to "electricity"(doubt it). My block list on my phone is now officially longer than my contacts list

do not answer, it is testing for active numbers to later bombard you. DO NOT ANSWER this number is disconnected anyway

typical scam, it appears to be associated with Alinta Energy, I would suggest that one contacts Alinta and request that they cease their telemarketing, if thaey continue contact your local state member; remember the Old Govt are supporting Alinta in Qld

missed two calls from the number, called back a few minutes later and it says its disconnected

definitely dodgy; I have entered into my scam file, with a suitable comment; its a pity the TELCO's can't police this crap
