Same, Same; will try the call block on the phone, most intrusive when the calls are late at night when we are in bed

When they ring ask them to ring back later. When they ask when will be the best time to call back...you say "Oh in about 6 years!" and hang up!

SCAM. Do not answer as it is a cold calling telemarketer who already has to much of your personal information. I would advise not giving them anymore.

Thanks to all who mentioned call blocking. Just blocked my first one and looking forward to getting other nuisance calls just so that I can have the pleasure of blocking them.

Best thing I did was buy an answering machine for house phone to screen calls. They always hang up. If it's really important they'll ring back!

Cheers

I'm sick of these calls. This one is from Apple marketing about fund raising. Blocked!!! Last night's call was "not trying to sell me anything but..."

I'm on a new Samsung (s8) with Telstra. This number just called but my screen flashed 'Suspected Spam' so I didn't take the call. Not sure who the 'Suspected Spam' message is from (Telstra or Samsung?), but it is appreciated!!

This number calls us regularly...what I don't understand is their purpose. Nobody ever speaks to us . There is just silence........... then a recorded "Good bye" Damn nusiance if you run for the phone. Surely these calls cost somebody money. Don't get it.....makes no sense at all !

This number makes at least three calls a day. Doesn't leave message on answering machine (not sad about that). I will either purposefully not answer and just let them waste their time or hang up as soon as they answer.

Caller claimed to be from Salvation Army. Asked to collect money in my area for them. Is this legal for me to represent Salvation Army and solicit money without being part of their order?
If this is not scam, not sure what is.

We have received calls from this number and other numbers. My suggestion to anyone receiving these calls is to have a horn near the phone and blow it into their ears. That should make them not call you again.

Scumbags begging for money AGAIN. They ignore the DNCR and refuse to stop calling. ACMA are a joke when it comes to phone scammers. When will they stop this rot?
