Caller: Others here have said that, as I suspected from the beginning of the number, this is Mater Lotteries.

I was conned into becoming a regular buyer of their tickets. Ever since these inconsiderate, insensitive, disrespectful and ungrateful people have constantly harassed me by calling on both my home number and mobile number numerous times each month from various numbers trying to get me to buy even more tickets, despite my having already told them numerous times that I'm an invalid pensioner, can't afford to buy extra tickets, and that just maintaining the subscription I currently have with them is difficult.

I no longer answer my home phone when it rings, letting it go to my answering machine and only picking it up, if available, for people I know who are leaving me a message.

I have also blocked all previous mobile numbers from which they have harassed me, as I will this one, from which calls started coming last week, now that I know, thanks to this site, that it is them yet again! This stops the mobile phone from ringing and annoying me when they call, but unfortunately does not stop it from letting me know that I have received a text message telling me that I missed calls from the blocked numbers "who did not leave a message". I heartily wish that blocking numbers would also block these annoying text messages from them!

Take heed, Mater Lotteries - if you ever lose your arrogance and sense of entitlement enough to read anything about your annoying and unwelcome tactics on this site - that if you don't stop harassing me I will cancel my subscription altogether! Perhaps the RSL would be more respectful of whatever level of support I could afford to provide them than you are capable of being!

Blocked one number from Mater Lotteries after persistent calls and being told I'm not interested, now calling from this number. Won't be making the mistake of donating to them again if this is how they go about business harassing people.

If you did win one of their lotteries they will leave a message on your voicemail, plus email you, otherwise just ignore/block

I am constantly receiving phone calls from these guys. I blocked several numbers a while ago and didn't hear anything for a while. This number called a few days ago and I answered. The lady said "it was just going to be a quick all" and then started rambling on and on for ages. I ran out of time and got bored listening so just hung up. They call at all times of the day, even if you already have tickets in the current draw. There should be an option to opt out of phone calls, because I already receive enough emails from them. Definitely makes me want to stop supporting them. I don't get hounded the same way from Your Town or Endeavour.

Blocked first call today only to be called again by same number. So called their 1800 number and requested my number be removed from the call list or I would not support them in the future. They were obliging.

Mater Lotteries - keep calling despite being asked to be removed from their call list.

Got sick of the calls so answered and told them I've asked to be removed from the list twice but still get calls. Told them all the calls have actually put me off dealing with them.

Was told 'if maybe i answered in the first place they would stop'.

WTF - maybe if you took me off the list as requested then we wouldn't be having this conversation.

Then was told all removal requests go to head office so it can take time.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I can tell you that RSL keep posting and emailing marketing material. It's as frustrating as receiving the phone calls. I've told both RSL and Mater Lotteries that if they stopped sending the marketing material they'd have more funds to direct where it needs to go. It appears not to make any difference if you unsubscribe to the emailed marketing either. I'm at the end of my tether and looking to cancel all subscriptions.

These are tele-marketers calling VIP subscribers to buy more even tickets. If you agree to buy more tickets, be prepared to give them your credit card details over the phone. It is not a scam, but it is annoying.

The RSL outsource the ticket selling (I think) to Apple Marketing who seem to have numerous phone numbers to annoy us with. I block one and they use a new one. I think I may have to unsubscribe from the RSL tickets and then re-subscribe...but not give them my number. If I win, which is highly unlikely, then send me a letter!
