Received a call from this number and (07) 5631 9050, rang it from my silent phone numbe and received a message stating "The Australian call registry we work for a number of financial institutions and as it's not urgent we will call you back shortly" I've just blocked both numbers on my mobile - how rude are they!!!!

Thanks for this info. I've had three calls from this number to my mobile, in one afternoon. I've tried to block the number on my phone so hopefully that will help.

They called me trying to sell insurance, don't know how that obtained my mobile number. Where and who can I complain about this to???

Scumbags hang up when i answered - very annoying

Called me on the mobile a few days ago. Something about insurance. Just hung up. Will put a block on that number. Could hear the other callers in the background so who knows where they were calling from. Have a good day :)

Had this number call me twice today. When I tried calling back, the number couldn't connect, it would just beep a few times then end.

I'm assuming the call is from a computer, and they just made a fake number to make it appear as a phone call.

Never the less I smell a rat.

have received two calls from the number today (on my work mobile) and haven't managed to answer it. No message has been left which is unusual for a client so thought id see if anything came up online. Appreciate this service being in place and all your comments!

A very pushy woman talking about insurance sales.

Twice today. And you can't call them back. Can somebody stop them ? Is this a Telstra number ?

I just got a call from the same number.

This number has called me in ACT a few times in the last 2 days, they are the "South Australia Contact Centre" who wants to tell me about "an exciting new insurance company". I have told them to stop calling me.

One of the times they called, the person started with a disclaimer "this call is being recorded" and I was just like wahhhhh-tf.

This number has been calling me on numerous occasions for the past year, claiming to be the 'Australian contact centre' I've been firm with them to stop calling me but they keep doing it. They never leave a message and never answer my question of 'who are you and how did you get my number'

I've been getting hassled a little by this number. I finally managed to answer it and it was Careers Australia.I think its a number of a call centre that businesses use so people can't call them back.

i got a call just now from this number and they hung up when I answered it. Seems to be one of those dodgy ones. I don't know who it is and I wouldn't dial the number back.

So they rang again. I answered. Was a guy from aus contact center calling on behalf of insurance line.

They called me twice today.  Just a nuisance.  They hung up on me when I answered the first time.  Two Hours later they called again - I beat them to the hang up!
