Just got 2 missed calls. Got one yesterday and another one today. I Didnt picked the call because my wife awared me before. I know why these call are coming. All because of seek.com. these faje companies picked our phone numbers from seek and trying to make u fool. Guys this thing is happened with my wife before. She put her resume and applied for few jobs. After that she was getting fake calls every day. Even she blocked some numbers but they were calling here from another numbers. She had change her no. Now few days back i had applied for jobs in seek and gumtree. I am also getting some fake calls.

Cold Calling from "Australian Contact Centre" for the Insurance Line. I let them rabbit in English accent trying to sell a "dinky-di' Aussie insurance for me... mate? After 3 mins of me giving short yes no answers he gave up.

These guys claim to be from the Australian Contact Centre yeah like whatever Trevor tell your story to the dial tone. Always answer politely and say simply "Hello!" If they then say something like I am Joe from the whatever you don't speak you simply hang up or disconnect straight away and then block the number. That way they never get to introduce themselves and engage in a fruitless conversation which will just frustrate both parties and end up wasting your valuable time. Simple really. Like junk mail. Straight to the recycling bin. Or if you want to waste their time simply chat with them for a half hour or so and then say to them oops I have to go Mummy is coming. And then hang up. They will never ring back. Two can play at this game. For some however they are polite and understand no-one really likes cold callers or indeed telemarketers. Get a real job with real friends and real prospects! Oh and guys learn to play cricket not whinging! (To the Poms in telemarketing )

exactly, usually if I get a telemarketer calling me I talk to them about a 'product' I am selling, (not really selling one though) and whenever they try to talk just interrupt them and keep talking then go right at the end, wait no that was the wrong product let me start again, and just repeat what you said, just use a different product name and info. also don't include your name or personal details.

Missed a call from them, have tried calling back several times and keep getting 'Call Failed'.

They called my 16 yr old daughter offering funeral cover! When she told him she is only 16 he hung up without another word. No idea how they even got her number!!!

Answered the call. Heard ambient contact centre noises in the background. Then they hung up on me after 2 seconds. Hopefully their office was hit by an atomic bomb in that instant.

Received missed call approx. 4pm 29/7/15. Called back, unsure who it was. Got a message saying it was "Australian Contact Centre" and then got transferred to someone trying to sell me Insurance Line insurance. Told them to delete my number from their system, he agreed but we will see. Do not call back.

I just got a call from this number, they said I sounded too young for funeral cover so asked about personal insurance, to which I said I am already all sorted out in that respect. She then asked if it was through my superannuation, and not wanting to give any personal information away I told her I preferred not to say. She then said "OK bye" and hung up on me.

tl;dr - Don't answer a call from this number.

I received a call from this number at 11:30 on Wednesday the 29th of July, 2015. I answered, thinking it may have been an actual call intended for me, but it was a man with a Scottish accent who stated he was calling from the Australian Contact Centre on behalf of Insurance Line and informed me that the call was being recorded.
Upon being asked if I had heard of Insurance Line, I politely told him, "I have but I'm in no position to take out an insurance policy at the moment." He asked why and I told him that was a personal question, to which he responded, "Not really, hey?" I replied with something along the lines of, "Yes, it is. It's my personal business and pushing me to answer that question is quite rude..." But before I finished what I was saying he had ended the call.
I usually end calls as soon as I realise a telemarketer/potential scammer is on the other end but on this day I tried to be respectful. Clearly my good manners were wasted on this rude, ignorant, pathetic excuse of a man.
I'm not sure if he was a genuine telemarketer but his conduct leads me to believe he is a scammer. If he is being recorded at a call centre representing a well-known insurance company, I don't see how he could treat a potential client this way and not be reprimanded.
Avoid answering calls from this number and if you do, feel free to abuse the caller, though you're better off saving your energy for someone more worthwhile :-)

Just got called from this number to my mobile, second telemarketing call today, and I barely ever get them. I hung up within seconds.
