Computer crashed on 21st May 2017 with message on screen saying that it had been corrupted. Further message on screen saying to contact Techget Online on phone (07) 5551 5925. Paid them $499.98 USD to fix computer and was harassed into paying a further $500 USD for twelve month "support". Next day I rang back to cancel the support and requested a refund of $500USD. After many phone calls, eventually got the refund, which confirms that there is no continuing contract with them with no further monies to be paid. Unfortunately, they started calling me again on 5 May 2018 using phone 0187 4365 8734 stating that I owed them money and if I didn't pay they would bring in debt collectors. They gave me a further phone number to contact them 1800 219 541 and have been harassing me for two days. Techget Online website is no longer in existence. Their aim is to intimidate people to pay for services that have not been contracted, nor are being provided

I also believe this is a scam. Does anyone know what this group are up to. I tried calling but got odd recorded messages and wait tones. Wife encountered some malware with this number attached. Entire computer stopped and screen stating system locked and needed fix. I understand that the ransom malware that hit globally had been somewhat averted by two independent tech people. Heard on news somewhere that they had come across a kill switch. It had something to do with unregistered web sites. Does anyone know any more. I am about to "nuc" my wife's computer as I suspect some deeper problems
