Add the number to your contacts and block this number. I do this for all scammers. It means the phone rings at their end but does not connect to mine. Great way to get back at them as they think they are annoying me ringing constantly but it is them who are wasting their time. I have a contact called scammers, I add all numbers where they ring at ridiculous hours of the day (I mean my night time) and who constantly ring.

THIS IS A LEGITIMATE RESEARCH PHONE CALL. It is NOT a scam!!!! My mother actually works for the company and phones to do the surveys. Sea FM and Gold FM on the Gold Coast etc do research to see whether people are sick of listening certain types of music etc. They need to get key age groups and genders. So they are not simply making a scam phone call. If you don't answer the call your number is on rotation, so you will keep getting a call. If you don't want to answer, tell them POLITELY.

Seems strange a Queensland radio station would be interested in the opinion of a Tasmanian

These guys are scammers, tried to get money off me claiming to be from Telstra. Second time from windows and have prank called me several times in the last 24 hrs. I knew they were indeed scammers when they sent me to a windows site which was actually a weebly site

In answer to you Nathan and your mother, if this is not a scam call, why then do they hang up as soon as I answer my phone??? I have a small business and it is an annoying ocurrance to answer the phone for no reason. When I call back it goes to message. This has happened many times.

That's because it's in use by a scammer. They access out of service lines by hacking the system.
