I received 2 missed calls from this number so i tried to ring back on both occassions guess what it was engaged. They rang me just now stating they are from ensure and asked if i was ok. I asked (Owen) how did he get my name and number he said it came threw on the accident database. He then said he wantd to talk about the accident i had in the last 12 months. I then asked his name and his bosses name (Jo Brown) lmao then he disconnected the call lol. I rang back and asked to speak to Owen who was put on and made out he couldnt hear me lol so i rang back again and was put threw to the manager (Liam Smith) who said he got my name because the police were called to a accident that i was not at fault and i am entitled to a payout. I told Liam i am taking it further as i have not been in a accident and my number is not given out. Liam said there is no need for that and my number will be deleted from their database and i wont receive any further calls. These people should be charged. Not happy.

Received a call. Searched here and then called the number back and spoke to "Tom" Was asked whether in a traffic accident within last 12 months = said "yes". Was asked if at fault = said "no". Then asked if other people were in the car = "no". Was then told that I could be eligible for a payment set aside for people like me. Was told to hold the line and then put through to "Luke". Luke confirmed details from the same questions as above, but played it more like John Edwards would from "Crossing Over". Luke said there's a bucket of money handed to them by the insurance companies for distribution for 'personal payment'. This bucket was to the tune of $50k and could be paid based on any personal injury that we could substantiate through claims of self-medication for headaches and the like. I said, "No, I'm fine. I wasn't affected by the incident in any way". He said, "So I should let this money go back to the insurance company" I say, "Yep, I can't think of any reason why they would give me any of it"
Of course, I was just playing. I had no accident. I made it all up, but it killed a couple of minutes in my day and seemed to get a few fraudsters excited for a few minutes. ;)
In short - yes, they are scammers. :)

Had a call, showed as being from Gympie. I answered but just silence at other end. Have since blocked it. Suggest you do not answer this number.

Called about me being in their 'system' detailing a collision I'd had within the last few months, which is totally untrue. Definitely a scam. And my number is on the 'Do Not Call Register'.

Missed call, rang back, smart c**t on the phone foraging for personal details, claimed no scam, so I played along. Gave false name & details (after reading this forum thread), caller got frustrated and asked if I had brushed my teeth after eating breakfast, trying to indicate he wasn't asking personal info. Told him I ate my dogs sh*t for breakfast as it was much tastier than anything coming out of the callers mouth... SCAM

Don't answer, don't ring back, don't say anything. If they can't scam you from the so-called insurance payout, they are ultimately harvesting your voiceprint for other ongoing scams. http://www.vibe.com/2017/01/phone-scam-can-you-hear-me-yes/
