Trying to sell Electricity and gas

Calling to "give you a discount" on energy bills. They don't sell electricity or gas, say they're just a broker and keep bringing up the possible discount if you let them help. I was too annoying and she rejected me before I figured out the scam, but clearly had no idea where I live, what my name is, whether I have an electricity/gas account etc. Sounds international (voice delay)

Whoever this is, I wish I could reach into the phone and slap them! I had several missed calls everyday for about two weeks! Never left a message, always rang while I was at work. Decided to auto reject the number (hoping the would eventually get the hint), but they're still ringing me about once a week now

Several calls to a 12 year old primary student while they are at school ....luckily she didnt answer

Missed call during work hours, even without blocked ID I get disconnected when I try to call back.

They keep calling me during working hours for two weeks.

They keep calling but I don't answer. Tried calling back with blocked id hangs up straight away so don't know what they're selling.

I have been bombarded with these calls all week, finally answered one today as they had called from another number (07) 4911 2890.

Woman said she was from "Energy Compare" and wanted to know about my electricity and usage to see if I was eligible for discounts.

I asked where she got my contact details from and said it was from her marketing team - and refused to give me any more information. I asked to be removed from their database and not to be called again. Very pushy on the but don't you want to save money angle without actually identifying who they are.

Sounds very dodgy!

has called twice today i just reject the calls, when calling never leaves message and when they did it was some jiberish.... they stopped called for a week and then starting again

how do I stop this pest?

Spoke with some guy with a strong foreign accent. He didn't know my name but referred to me as 'Mate'
Said he was from Energy Compare (registered in Parramatta??)

Wanted to conduct a survey to see if I was eligible for energy discounts.

I asked how he got my number, he wouldn't respond at first. I said, well you picked up the phone, and pushed numbers in, how did you come up with the number. Apparently his answer as it's just Random!


They have no idea of who you are or where you live, it would appear they are dialling random phone numbers.

I get calls a lot, I don't answer.

Thanks for the info, I've been receiving many calls a day during the last 2 weeks, called back once and it is a non existing number. Tried to "google" this number and found no information. They never leave any message. Today I took the call and a guy said he was calling from "energy compare" to do a 1 minute survey and see whether I was eligible to a discount. I was busy and didn't trust on the caller, told him I was busy and he said he will try again later. He did and I didn't take the call. I "googled" today "energy compare" and the number and found your forum. I have blocked this number on my mobile.

I have received a call from these scammers. South east Asian accent - reading from a script- they wont let a word in... from the Gold coast "Energy compare" looked for their web site there is nt one.??..- they are not allowed to give that information????? A rep will call in 24 hours about discount ?? yeh right !!... They semed to call you 2 days before with unknown number an hang up when you answer. This same voice has has had my number for years.aaaaahhhhh????

Been getting heaps of calls from this mob, answered once and was asked a heap of questions about my power provider and then they wanted me name and email. When asked why they said to verify my identity. I hung up!!

Missed call during work, unable to call back.

they will call me at least 15 times a day to do what ever they are trying to get out of me. haven't answered it but nearly everyone i know is getting these calls at least 5 times a day.

More than just 2 weeks but never ever leaves a message and when you spend you time and money to call back......... It disconnects you leaving you no better off

Ongoing calls. Yet to answer, I figure if I want to speak with someone I'll already have their number. 2-3 times a day, was during business hours but now getting later in the day.
