Call from BOQ looking to confirm or update contact details due to regulatory requirements. Option to also go to branch rather than continue with call. Legitimate call. Their number is listed on https://www.boq.com.au/contact-us

Do not trust above replies. This is a scam. A number is on a website does not make it legit - most scams use spoofing which means they can make any number come up on your phone. They've even used police station phone numbers.
This number called me and I'm not with BOQ. Never have been

Received a call from this Number but I'm not with BOQ. Might be spoofing the BOQ number. I'd recommend calling BOQ directly or going into the office to confirm details, rather than answering from this number.

Hi this number is legit. It is for the KYC team in the head office in Newstead. They will be calling you to confirm and update details as part of regulatory requirement so that they can contact you easily if there is fraudulent or suspicious activity on the account

I’m not a boq customer, so why have I had six calls in one day?!

Caller: Supposedly BOQ.

While this may be listed as a BOQ contact number, it is a number for people who are overseas to call BOQ. I am not overseas so I find it quite strange as to why I would receive an SMS from BOQ asking me to call them on that number. It would not surprise me at all if it is some kind of a scam as scammers have a way of manipulating numbers to make it seem like you are calling a genuine number. I would advise anyone who receives an SMS with this number not to call it, call or visit your local BOQ branch instead.

No voice message. All these comments are saying it’s a legit call from BOQ to update details? I’m not with BOQ and never have been? Yeah nah.

Some of these comments are ridiculous and paranoid. This is a legit BOQ call. If in doubt contact your branch who will confirm

BOQ calling to check contact info up to date. I was worried was a scam so opted to go into branch and my branch confirmed was real and the person who called me had left notes on my account. Took 2 min to do.

Apparently BOQ wanting to check my details however when I asked him to read my details out & I'll confirm if it's correct he refused. In this day & age with so many scams around why would BOQ even think to call people? Ridiculous

Seems legit. Bank of Qld. Caller understood my reluctance to discuss over the phone, advised me to go online or in to a branch.
