Telemarketer trash!

Spoke to a Karen who said she was calling from "Fortress Financial services" giving free financial advice on super and insurance.
She didn't seem to know what she was talking about
I actually work for a Financial Planning firm and they called our office
If they are asking for your personal information this is considered to be providing personal advice and is illegal without providing you with an advice document (SOA). It is also illegal for them to provide product advice over the phone without this document.

This industry is heavily regulated and legally in many ways you cannot provide free advice over the phone, definitely something to watch out for

Just checked the number as I had a missed call from it. No message left. Have now added to my blocked caller list based on the info provided here. Thanks everyone for their comments.

I've just perorted them to telstra with an 'unwelcome calls enquiry form' - I'm sure Telstra can't do anything about it, but at least I've vented my fury!

these people are a waste of time. telemarketers that sham on about property investments and wealth. hang up on em, like i did.

just got a call from this number said did i know i was paying interest on my super i said i don't have super and he said sorry and hung up

Yeah these guys just called me and it was dead silence... i wounder how these scammers get our numbers :/.??

Tele marketers . Call like 5 times a week sometimes even on a Saturday . I keep blocking the numbers and they just call from another number , so f**king frustrating

Stated that he was from "Fortress Financial Services" and was calling about my insurance policy within my Super. I asked several times what insurance policy he was referring to, all he did was repeat the statement. Eventually he said "Its a general question", and he wasn't going to 'force' me. I laughed. Then he hung up.

Just had some idiot on the phone and I kept saying to him I'm not interested and finally he just hung up on me!! I would love to smash my fist through the phone

I've been getting these calls for a few weeks now and they leave no messages and when i answer you can't hear anything.
