No one at the other end when I answered the phone, they just hung up. Believe it is attached to Compare the market website.

Pain in the frikin butt !!!!! Yep i compared insurance with COMPARE THE MARKET AND BUDGET DIRECT. Makes me furious, will not use either of them again. Get constant phone calls up to 11pm, and they won't tell me who they are until i confirm my name. I asked for 'THEIR NAME' OR 'COMPANY NAME' they refused to give it, until i answered. So i just hung up. Block this number!! Grrrrr

It's Budget Direct. Told them to take my number off, they refuse. So it's now blocked.

Same as everyone else, made the mistake of using a comparison website and before I'd even finished the whole process I was receiving nuisance calls. Have no idea what they think they're going to accomplish by doing this.

Call 'Auto And General Services' (the company who says was calling) on (07) 3377 8801 (same number but with 01 instead of 07) and you will speak to a real person who can take you off the list. She sighed as I mentioned what had happened, and seem frustrated that it happens automatically - be polite, give your number and you'll be taken off their list. I get the feeling upper management has put something in place that looked like a great idea at the time, but in reality it just means people like sally have to deal with angry people all the time!

Got an online quote now I get calls late at night. Seriously annoying

I was just on their website doing a comparison and saw how much Budget was overcharging me - $500 cheaper - was in the process of changing to another company. Ten minutes in and the phone starts ringing with this number - just looked it up... I doubt this is allowed.

I’ve already taken up insurances using their website but they keep on trying to sell me the insurance again!

I also used Compare the Market for car insurance. I have been receiving multiple calls from this number and one of the others listed. Aaaahhhhhh!!!!! So annoying. I just don’t answer anymore.

Have received three calls in less than 2 hours. Not impressed and turns me off using them.

3 calls from this same number in 1 hour. First one hung up, 2nd said she was from Virgin Money Insurance, 3rd a man who said he was from Budget Direct.
All after visiting ComparetheMarket.

I have used Compare the Market and others early 2016 and had no problems,
I gave them another try to see if i could fined cheaper (but no) all where almost a $100.00 more (Car insurance)
A few phone calls from someone but since then i have been receiving about 50 SPAM emails some about insurance but most are just pure SPAM

Asked me about insurance quote. The lady was quite impolite and inpatient though.
