these people have nothing better to do than to annoy the crap out of you. they have been doing this to me for months 10 times a day. my advice is DO NOT REPLY_IGNORE THEM. dob them in- if anyone will listen

Had a neighbour when moving into a new house tap me on the shoulder and ask if was ( so n so name ) while still on the phone to this guy , now I never meet the neighbour till then what a way to say gday, so with that I contacted AFCA and mad a complaint immedantly with trents number time and date of contact (Trent being the guy from credit Corp who rang the neighbour) and had a case put against them on my behalf.
PRIVACY ACT credit Corp heard of that before
When you contact people and ask them to do your work is out side your code of practice it is illegal , don’t belive me

Im a manager from Credit Corp in Brisbane, as stated above by Paul we will harass you we will ring you up to 10 times a day, we will text you up to 10 times a day even though we know we are by law we are not supposed to, we will break every law to contact you. once we have we will make you pay the debt even if you cant afford to pay it at that time, we will make a payment plan that suits us, we will go out of our way to not listen to what you say, everytime you try to speak we will speak over the top of you so we cant hear what you are saying. We will definatly go out of our way to for you to make the payment immediately so the person who is calling you can make their commission immediately if you don't we wil just continue to contact you, your friends, neighbours, & whoever else we can just so we can be d*ckheads, We love been d*ckheads & we get off by harassing people. we wont even say its Credit corp we will make out its someone else just so we can get our kicks

You are right you should not contact these people under any circumstances.  If a debt is more than 6 years old it is STATUTE BARRED and cannot be collected - none of the debt collecting companies ever tell you this.  If there was a court order against you for a debt then it too is STATUTE BARRED after 12 years and is non collectable.  Under the law they are not permitted to hassle you or your neighbours!!!!  Companies buy bad debts, normally if they discover the debt is statute barred then they can return the debt to the original company and get reimbursed.  NEVER ADMIT THE DEBT TO ANYONE AND ESPECIALLY DO NOT PUT ANYTHING IN WRITING ACKNOWLEDGING THE DEBT.  The guy that found my neighbourt's phone number said he was a long lost friend who had left messages for me and wanted to contact me - be careful out there guys - check your legal rights.

Im a manager of credit corp in QLD & we do this to annoy the crap out of everyone we are just trying to see how many more people we can bleed money out of, we dont care about your personal circumstances, all we want is to make a fortune out of a debt we only paid 25c in the dollar for. if you dont pay we will call you 3 times a week, text you, and annoy you more that what the law allows. we will threaten you with legal action but very rarely ever do anything, we will crap on and tell you what itt ever it takes, we wont listen to what you are saying, and everytime you try to speak we will raise our voices just so we cant hear what you are saying. all this  just so the staff can get their commissions & the shareholders get rich, oh & i forgot, someone has to pay for the massages we get at our desks.

They are Credit Corp, calling from a call centre based in Milton, Qld. They went through my facebook and call every single person in my friends list to get through to me. I have a high privacy setting in Facebook and my profile is not even public or searchable. I have no idea how they can still get in. So, I ended up notifying all my friends to ignore the call. Once you answer the call or make a call back, and they successfully make you verbally confirmed that you acknowledge the debt, than you're trapped to make the payment. If you dont, they will have a base to lodge a court summons against you.Be careful with these people, they're well trained to get as much money from you, using whatever data you've given to Commonwealth Bank.If you were not aware of this debt or not intend to deal with the pressure these people will be giving you, according to the Australian business law, if you do not acknowledge this debt until 5 years from the date of your last payment, then your credit record will be clean again.
