On a Saturday I got this random call from 0413 287 746 located in Australia from an Indian guy who asked me questions about my car accident a few months ago. I was naive to give him details about it, but I was hesitant as I figured if he was part of the "investigation team from the insurance company" he should already know the details. He was pressuring me to exaggerate and basically lie about my injuries post-accident in order to claim compensation. He wanted me to say that my injuries were still affecting me, that I went to the doctor multiple times and got prescribed pain meds, and that I had a part time job. Fast forward to Monday, I kept getting missed calls from (07) 3282 3357 located in Ipswich, Australia and they left voicemails of just heavy breathing. I ignored the calls until I got annoyed and I finally answered after the 5th call. An Indian lady picked up and again she brought up the topic about my accident. I was super polite and clear that I did not want to claim anything. I decided to record the call and she got scared and hung up. The manager called back using the same number (07) 3282 3357 and tried to argue with me that I was going to lose $17,000-$60,000 if I don't claim compensation for my injuries. Before he hung up I could hear the Indian Lady in the background saying "Did you use a different number to call".
Anyways, I hope that was the end and I've learnt my lesson to be aware of scammers.

Indian guy talking about me being in a car accident, I don't own a car. From RACQ? I'm sorry but those were the best 2 minutes of me swearing at someone and venting all the stress onto this scammer!

Also got a call from this number today as did my wife. I was asked to give a bunch of information regarding a accident. They seemed to have information regarding the situation. They encouraged me to claim for injuries that never happened.
I assume they claim on your behalf and get a payout.
Bottom feeders.

Called from 0430 488 944 and asked about accident I was in- they asked the date, then asked more questions like who was at fault, who else was in my car which I kept wondering why they were calling me since none of the parties were insured through racq (including ctp) as I had already been a witness for the other party's insurer due to fraud. Had to repeatedly ask what
they were calling for and why- with unsatisfactory answer. She said she would put me through to her supervisor which then disconnected and then I had two missed calls from 3282 3357.
no voicemail left, which to me is the sign of a scam- professional callers explain who they are and why they are calling. Places like racq also don't usually call from mobiles and land lines- their numbers are usually silent or sepaeate lines that all return to the main number for the company.

Do not give any personal information to these scammers like I did! I had just been in an accident and they rang wanting to put through my personal injury claim. Spoke to 2 different Indian guys who asked me to lie and say my injuries were worse than what they were. They booked my medical and everything in which I cancelled once I google searched their phone number from ‘Ipswich QLD’ and found these comments. I have reported them to ID care. An Indian lady then rang the next day to ask why I didn’t attend my CTP medical appointment. When I told her I had changed my mind she got quite angry and hung up! I am now getting co stunt calls from a Brisbane no. I have been advised not to answer and simply block each caller.

Heavy feedback on the call. Claiming to call about a car accident 'a while back.' I asked them to specify and they said late last year.

Yes they've been harassing me since the panel beaters sent a quote to my insurer for a job on my car, they are insisting I was hurt in the accident and I had a passenger in the car, they had all my details including some of my partners details. They said the other persons insurer just wants this case closed and want to pay me out, just need the number plate off the other car, they are persistent, after the first call I thought I was being investigated about my claim, the next time they rang I raised my voice at her "EVA" told her she was rude and that I have not been injured, she said she could not help me then and hung up but that did not stop them, someone else rang and started the same thing trying to be more Aussie calling me mate, rude scammers.........

The first one asked me about my accident, which I haven't had. I went along with him and said that I had two passengers in the car. He then put me onto his 'Supervisor' who wanted specific details of the accident. When I said, 'You must have them', he said that he needed specific times, dates, address and photos. He promised to call back when I had access to those details. They have called back twice but I haven't answered.
